Permanent private households by number of renewables by Local Electoral Areas. (Census 2022 Theme 6 Table 10 ) Census 2022 table 6.10 is permanent private households by renewable energy. Details include the number of households with renewables. Census 2022 theme 6 is Housing. For the purposes of Local Authority elections, each county and city is divided into Local Electoral Areas (LEAs) which are constituted on the basis of Orders made under the Local Government Act, 1941. Statutory Instruments 610-638 of 2018 and 6-8, 27-28, 156-157 of 2019 state the current composition of LEAs. In general, LEAs are formed by aggregating Electoral Divisions. However, in a number of cases, Electoral Divisions are split between LEAs and in order to render them suitable for the production of statistics, the CSO has amended some LEA boundaries to ensure that statistical disclosure does not occur. As a result of these amendments, Census 2022 LEAs are comprised of whole Census 2022 Electoral Divisions. Coordinate reference system: Irish Transverse Mercator (EPSG 2157). These boundaries are based on 20m generalised boundaries sourced from Tailte Éireann Open Data Portal. CSO Local Electoral Areas 2022
Theme 6.7 is permanent private households by sewerage facility. Details include the type of sewerage facility NUTS3 boundaries generalised to 100m. The Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS) were drawn up by Eurostat in order to define territorial units for the production of regional statistics across the European Union. The NUTS classification has been used in EU legislation since 1988, but it was only in 2003 that the EU Member States, the European Parliament and the Commission established the NUTS regions within a legal framework (Regulation (EC) No 1059/2003). The Irish NUTS 3 regions comprise the eight Regional Authorities established under the Local Government Act, 1991 (Regional Authorities) (Establishment) Order, 1993 which came into operation on January 1st 1994. The NUTS 2 regions, which were proposed by Government and agreed to by Eurostat in 1999, are groupings of the Regional Authorities. The amending of the Cork City and Cork County boundaries necessitated a redrawing of Electoral Division boundaries within Cork to ensure all ED boundaries in the county were suitable for the production of statistical data. For Census 2022, the CSO is publishing data for 3,420 CSO Electoral Divisions. The CSO Electoral divisions are referred to by their established statutory names. Formally “District Electoral Divisions” (DEDs), under the 2001 Local Government Act, the names of Wards and the names of District Electoral Divisions were changed to Electoral Divisions. There are 32 EDs with low population, which for reasons of confidentiality have been amalgamated into neighbouring EDs giving a total of 3,409 EDs which appear in the SAPS tables. The graphic file contains the boundaries for 3,409 EDs. The boundaries have been smoothed in accordance with our licencing agreement with Tailte Éireann . Occupancy status of permanent dwellings on Census night by Local Electoral Areas. (Census 2022 Theme 6 Table 8 ) Census 2022 table 6.8 is occupancy status of permanent dwellings on Census night. Details include the occupancy status of dwellings. Occupancy status of permanent dwellings on Census night by Electoral Divisions. (Census 2022 Theme 6 Table 8 ) Census 2022 table 6.8 is occupancy status of permanent dwellings on Census night. Details include the occupancy status of dwellings. Census 2022 theme 6 is Housing. Electoral Divisions (EDs) are the smallest legally defined administrative areas in the State. There are 3,440 legally defined EDs in the State. However, in order to render them suitable for the production of statistics, the CSO has amended some ED boundaries to ensure that statistical disclosure does not occur. This has had the effect of amalgamating some EDs and splitting others. Open and free data for assessing the human presence on the planet. The Global Human Settlement Layer (GHSL) project produces global spatial information, evidence-based analytics, and knowledge describing the human presence on the planet. The GHSL relies on the design and implementation of spatial data processing technologies that allow automatic data analytics and information extraction from large amounts of heterogeneous geospatial data including global, fine-scale satellite image data streams, census data, and crowd sourced or volunteered geographic information sources. The JRC, together with the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) are working towards a regular and operational monitoring of global built-up and population based on the processing of Sentinel Earth Observation data produced by European Copernicus space program. In addition, the EU Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) undertakes activities related to user uptake of data, information and services.
These high-resolution maps estimate not only the number of people living within 30-meter grid tiles, but also provide insights on demographics at unprecedentedly high resolutions. These maps aren’t built using Facebook data and instead rely on combining the power of machine vision AI with satellite imagery and census information.
Settlements and residential areas: named cities, towns, villages, suburbs, and residential land (`place=*` and `landuse=residential`). Useful for demographic context, settlement-level targeting, and population analysis. Coverage reflects where volunteer mappers have been active. Urban areas are usually well represented, remote areas may be sparse. This is a point dataset showing the location of 950 panels of prehistoric rock art in the Republic of Ireland generated from the Sites and Monuments Record (SMR). This dataset is updated on a regular basis by the Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI). The current published dataset dates from April 2023. New panels of rock art are updated to the record by the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as soon as possible after the notification of such discovery has been reported to the National Monuments Service (NMS) through their email at nationalmonuments@housing.gov.ie Unlocated panels of rock art with a 0 0 National Grid Reference are monuments whose location has been lost and await rediscovery by local people who may report their findings to the National Monuments Service at the above email address. The KML file can be opened using Google Earth which displays these ‘lost’ monuments at the same location in the Atlantic Ocean. The dataset contains a list of the following fields, the monument number known as the SMR Number, Class Description which is the classification type of the monument, ITM E and ITM N are the Easting and Northern Irish Grid reference in Irish Transverse Mercator format, the latitude and longitude of the monument location. The final Links table includes a hyperlink or internet address which takes the browser directly to the online entry for each monument hosted on the Historic Environment Viewer of the National Monuments website at www.archaeology.ie This dataset is based on information exported from the national database on the 20/04/2023.
