INSPIRE - Annex II Theme Elevation - ElevationGridCoverage - DSM 2019

This dataset contains the 2019 Digital Surface Model of Luxembourg, with a resolution of 1 meter. It has been harmonized according to INSPIRE. In february 2019, the ACT has executed a LiDAR flight for the whole country. One of the results of this dataset is a digital surface model. The numerical surface model is derived from data from the LiDAR 2019 overflight. For the calculation of the MNS, all the points in the point cloud were used, except the points classified as "power lines" (representing high voltage lines) and the points classified as “noise points” (representing errors). With a density of 15 points per m2, it is possible that several points are located in a pixel. The pixel value (50x50 cm) represents the maximum of the altimetric values inside the pixel surface. The numerical model of the surface contains for each pixel the maximum value of the absolute height. Due to storage constraint, the raster image is made available in Luxembourg national projection (EPSG:2169) rather than European projection (EPSG:3035). The raster in GeoTIFF format can be downloaded from the URL provided in the INSPIRE GML under rangeSet/File/FileReference node or from the 'Source dataset' link in metadata information.

HVD - Annex 2 Earth Observation and Environment - Water - WFD monitoring network SWB (2015-2021)

Network of measurement stations for the period from 2015 to 2020, established as part of the surface water quality monitoring program in accordance with the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC). The measurement network includes two components: the surveillance control network and the operational control network. The results of this monitoring program (2015-2020) were used for assessing the state of surface water bodies within the framework of the 3rd management plan. Physico-chemical parameters as well as chemical parameters are sampled at the same station. The location of biological parameter measurement stations may vary slightly.

INSPIRE - Annex I Theme Administrative Units - Condominium

This dataset contains the condominium between Luxembourg and Germany. The dataset is structured according to the INSPIRE Annex I Theme - Administrative Units. The data has been derived from the Cadastral database. The geometry is matched with the geometries of the administrative units in Luxembourg but not with those from Germany.

INSPIRE - Annex II Theme Elevation - ElevationGridCoverage - LUREF_NGL_DSM (2017)

In the scope of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requiring countries and airports to provide electronic Terrain and Obstacle Data (eTOD), the Administration de la navigation aérienne has been tasked by the Government to take the steps necessary to comply with this requirement. This Digital Surface Model (DSM) is the result of a first LIDAR survey flight that has been done in October 2017 and is of a higher resolution than required by ICAO, thus for general purpose, harmonized according to INSPIRE requirements. For this reason this DSM also uses the national reference systems LUREF and NGL. The data itself is split up in 4 different areas, which are specified as follows: Area 1: The entire territory of Luxembourg; Area 2: Terminal Control Area (this area is larger than the territory of Luxembourg); Area 3: Aerodrome movement area; Area 4: Category II or III operations (Runway 24). Due to storage constraint, the raster image is made available in Luxembourg national projection (EPSG:2169) rather than European projection (EPSG:3035). The raster in JP2 format can be downloaded from the URL provided in the INSPIRE GML under rangeSet/File/FileReference node or from the 'Source dataset' link in metadata information.

HVD - Annex 2 Earth Observation and Environment - Water - Phytoplankton (2015 - 2021)

Phytoplancon is one of the 4 biological quality elements (BQE) for the assessment of the ecological status of the natural water bodies. The evaluation of this BQE is only relevant for the large rivers where the quantity of phytoplancton is significant and can be evaluated. The natural water bodies of typology VI present significant phytoplancton concentrations to allow an assessment. Some of the heavy modified waterbodies (HMWB) present significant phytoplancton concentrations too, these are the HMWB Sûre (WB III-2.2.1) and the HMWB Our (WB V-1.2). The annual frequency for phytoplancton monitoring is 6 samples between April and October. HVD - Annex 2 Earth Observation and Environment - Water - Ecological Potential (2015 - 2021)

The "good ecological potential" is the environmental quality objective defined by the water framework directive for artificial and heavily modified surface water bodies. The ecological potential is assessed in four classes ranging from 1 to 4 (good and higher, moderate, poor, bad). The classification of the ecological potential is based on the biological, physico-chemical and in some cases also the hydromorphological quality elements. HVD - Annex 2 Earth Observation and Environment - Water - Types of watercourses (2015)

The surface water typology was determined on the basis of geographical , geological, morphological and hydrological characteristics. The Luxembourgish surface water typology comprises six types. For all six types the reference conditions, which would be achieved if there were no anthropogenic pressures impacting surface waters, are described in fact sheets. The reference conditions correspond to the high status of surface water bodies.

HVD - Annex 2 Earth Observation and Environment - Water - Types of watercourses LAWA (2015)

With regard to the implementation of the Water Framework Directive, specific types of watercourses have been designated for Luxembourg. As in the context of various works the German stream types (LAWA types) are used, these have also been assigned to the Luxembourgish surface water bodies
