About this dataset

Terrestrial and marine protected areas. Pixels where there is presence of terrestrial and marine protected were given a value of 1 (YES response) The World Database on Protected Areas (WDPA) is the largest assembly of data on the world's terrestrial and marine protected areas, containing more than 260,000 protected areas as of August 2020, with records covering 245 countries and territories throughout the world. The WDPA is a joint venture between the United Nations Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA). Data for the WDPA is collected from international convention secretariats, governments and collaborating NGOs, but the role of custodian is allocated to the Protected Areas Programme of UNEP-WCMC, based in Cambridge, UK, who have hosted the database since its creation in 1981. **Data revision:** 2021-12-14 **Citation:** IUCN and UNEP-WCMC (2020). Weather information

Weather information: countries where there are weather forecasts available. Pixels with a value higher than the specified threshold (50%) were given a value of -1 (YES response) Official weather observations, weather forecasts and climatological information for selected cities supplied by National Meteorological & Hydrological Services (NMHSs) worldwide. The NMHSs make official weather observations in their respective countries. Links to their official weather service websites and tourism board/organization are also provided whenever available. Weather icons are shown alongside worded forecasts in this version to facilitate visual inspection. By June 2021, WWIS provided official weather information for 2963 cities in which 2819 cities are available with forecast from 139 members while 2177 cities are available with climatological information from 170 members. **Data revision:** 2021-07-01 **Contact points:** Contact: [WMO](mailto:webmaster@worldweather.org) Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** License CC BY-NC-ND 4.0: Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Notes to users of the forecast data and climatological information of the WWIS website: 1. Protected Areas within Hand‑in‑Hand Agropoles (Côte d’Ivoire)

This dataset provides authoritative boundaries for protected areas within the FAO TCP/IVC/3908 Area of Interest in Côte d’Ivoire, covering the Centre, Nord, and Nord‑Est agropoles (approx. 134,614 km², ~41.75% of national territory). It identifies 84 protected areas—82 classified forests and 2 national parks: Parc national de la Comoé (Bounkani Region) and Parc national d’Abokouamékro (Yamoussoukro Autonomous District). Designed to support Hand‑in‑Hand investment targeting and land‑use planning, the data enable risk‑informed rural development while safeguarding critical ecosystems and restoration zones. Intended uses include project siting, due diligence, and policy analysis across agriculture, infrastructure, and conservation. **Data creation:** 2025-08-07 **Data publication:** 2026-07-08 **Supplemental Information:** Objective: support prioritized investment planning tied to food security, climate resilience, and wealth creation, using advanced geospatial analytics and partnerships under FAO’s Hand‑in‑Hand approach. **Citation:** FAO.
