About this dataset

The metadata record summarizes information for time series of daily weather measurements from the 18 meteo stations of AGE. The dataset goes back two years in time, starting at the foundation of each station. The kind of measurements differ from station to station. This dataset is available via the WMS Time (https://wms.inspire.geoportail.lu/geoserver/mf/wms?service=WMS&version=1.3.0&request=GetCapabilities) and WFS (https://wms.inspire.geoportail.lu/geoserver/mf/wfs?service=WFS&version=2.0.0&request=GetCapabilities) API protocols. INSPIRE - Annex III - Meteorological Geographical Features - PointTimeSeriesObservation - Daily weather measurements at Luxembourg Findel Airport

The metadata record summarizes information for time series of daily weather measurements from Luxembourg/Findel Airport. The following measurements are recorded: - Daily maximum air temperature (°C) at a height of 2 m above ground - Daily minimum air temperature (°C) at a height of 2 m above ground - Daily amount of precipitation (mm). The observational days are defined from 06:00 UTC to 06 UTC of the following day. The current elevation of the station is 376.1 m. The record covers the period 1947-dato and is updated regularly on a monthly basis. The meteorological station is part of the WMO Regional Basic Synoptic Network (WMO identifier 06590). The data is free of charge and can be requested via e-mail from the Climatology Department at MeteoLux. The synoptic observations are collected in real time, are quality controlled and archived in a climate data management system of MeteoLux. This dataset is available via the WMS Time (https://wms.inspire.geoportail.lu/geoserver/mf/wms?service=WMS&version=1.3.0&request=GetCapabilities) and WFS (https://wms.inspire.geoportail.lu/geoserver/mf/wfs?service=WFS&version=2.0.0&request=GetCapabilities) API protocols. Precipitation flux (Global - Daily - ~10 km) - AgERA5

Total volume of liquid water (mm³) precipitated over the period 00h-24h local time per unit of area (mm²), per day. This dataset provides daily surface meteorological data for the period from 1979 to present as input for agriculture and agro-ecological studies. This dataset is based on the hourly ECMWF ERA5 data at surface level and is referred to as AgERA5. Acquisition and pre-processing of the original ERA5 data is a complex and specialized job. By providing the AgERA5 dataset, users are freed from this work and can directly start with meaningful input for their analyses and modelling. The correction to the 0.1° grid was realized by applying grid and variable-specific regression equations to the ERA5 dataset interpolated at 0.1° grid. The equations were trained on ECMWF's operational high-resolution atmospheric model (HRES) at a 0.1° resolution. This way the data is tuned to the finer topography, finer land use pattern and finer land-sea delineation of the ECMWF HRES model. **Resource constraints:** **License Permission** This License is free of charge, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty free and perpetual.
