Utilising a baseline agricultural wells layer and very high-resolution satellite imagery, FAO conducted an assessment of the number of agricultural wells damaged in the Gaza Strip as a result of the recent conflict escalation. **Data creation:** 2025-04-30 **Supplemental Information:** More information can be found at https://openknowledge.fao.org/handle/20.500.14283/cd5503en **Contact points:** Resource Contact: [Matieu Henry](mailto:Matieu.Henry@fao.org) Metadata Contact: [Geospatial Unit](mailto:gis-manager@fao.org) **Data lineage:** The damage was estimated using Sentinel-1 SAR imagery from 4, 5, 16, 17, 28, 29 January, 9, 10, 21, 22 February, 4, 5, 16, 28, 29 March, 9, 10, 21, 22 April, 3, 4, 15, 16, 27, 28 May, 8, 9, 20, 21 June, 2, 3, 14, 15, 26, 27 July, 7, 8, 19, 20 August, 1 September, 10 October, 11, 12, 23 November, 5, 6, 17, 18, 29, 30 December, 10, 11, 22, 23 January, 3, 4, 15, 16, 27, 28 February, 11, 12, 23, 24 March, 9, 10, 16, 17, 28, 29 April. The number of damaged agricultural wells was calculated based on their location within a 15-meter radius area around a damaged site. A thorough evaluation of damage to agricultural wells was performed, overlaying the agricultural wells layer with the damage layer (damage proxy map) from 30 April 2025. The grid depicts the severity of damage in localised areas. In each tile the number of damaged agricultural wells was divided by the number of detected agricultural wells. **Resource constraints:** This work is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC-BY-4.0) **Online resources:** Download: Damage to agricultural wells (Gaza, Palestine - April 2025) Download: Gaza Strip damage assessments as of April 2025 (Excel tables) Fact-sheet: Damage to agricultural wells due to the conflict in the Gaza Strip as of 30 April 2025

Damage to cropland due to the conflict in the Gaza as of 31 December 2024. A reduction in cropland greenness was considered as an abrupt change and an indication of damage. The severity of the impact on cropland was determined by calculating the percentage and hectares of the damaged area by governorate. The map depicts the severity of damage in localized areas; in each hexagon the area of damaged cropland was divided by the total cropland area. **Data publication:** 2024-12-31 **Supplemental Information:** The disaggregated datasets for each cropland category are also available: Damage to field crops (Gaza, Palestine - December 2024) Damage to tree horticultures (Gaza, Palestine - December 2024) Damage to vegetables land (Gaza, Palestine - December 2024) More information on the damage to cropland and cropland categories can be found in the following fact-sheets: - Damage to cropland due to the conflict in the Gaza Strip as of 31 December 2024 - Damage to cropland categories due to the conflict in the Gaza Strip as of 31 December 2024 **Contact points:** Resource Contact: [Matieu Henry](mailto:Matieu.Henry@fao.org) Metadata Contact: [Geospatial Unit](mailto:gis-manager@fao.org) **Data lineage:** A cropland mask was prepared using very high-resolution satellite data from SPOT and Pléiades, and high-resolution data from Sentinel-2 to analyze the damage to cropland. Sentinel-2 data from December 2017 to December 2023 was used as a baseline for comparison with December 2024 data to conduct a cropland change analysis of the cropland mask area. **Resource constraints:** This work is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC-BY-4.0) **Online resources:** Download: Gaza Strip damage assessments as of December 2024 (Excel tables) Fact-sheet: Damage to cropland to the conflict in the Gaza Strip as of 31st of December 2024
