This polygon dataset identifies Carrier of Last Resort (COLR) obligation areas resulting from the Nebraska Public Service Commission's (PSC) NUSF-148 proceedings. Each polygon represents a whole exchange with no COLR transfers or partial-exchange geography within which COLR obligations and associated Nebraska Universal Service Fund (NUSF) high-cost support, funded through the NUSF-139 High Cost mechanism, have been transitioned from an incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC) to a different ILEC, or to a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC). The dataset was constructed by overlaying the PSC ILEC Exchange Boundaries layer with the approved NUSF-148 Transition Application Areas. Each NUSF-148 area only supersedes COLR obligation for the specific extent approved by the Commission within one or more exchanges; it does not equal, replace, or redraw the full exchange, and it does not transfer any other ILEC role or obligation for the exchange. Existing ILEC exchange boundaries are unchanged by these Orders and remain the boundary of record for all other purposes (e.g., Neb. Rev. Stat. Section 86-135 boundary-change proceedings, and the Telecommunications Exchange Deregulation Act, LB311, analysis). Resulting polygons are attributed and grouped hierarchically by (1) the new COLR carrier assuming the obligation, then (2) the ILEC/carrier from which the obligation was transferred, within (3) the affected exchange(s).

Offshore Renewable Energy: Potential Foreshore Site Investigation licence locations related to potential offshore renewable energy related infrastructure, and current offshore renewable energy project locations. The extent of state owned foreshore is normally defined to landward by the High Water Mark as shown on the OSI Historic 1888-1913 25 Inch mapping (https://webapps.geohive.ie/mapviewer/index.html ) and to seaward by the 12 nautical mile limit of the Territorial Seas (https://data.gov.ie/dataset/maritime-limits-irish-territorial-sea ). The Foreshore Act 1933, as amended, requires that a lease or licence must be obtained for any activity on State-owned foreshore, which represents the greater part of the foreshore. The Act provides for the issuing of licences or leases which are in the public interest. A lease relates to buildings or other structures and is generally used for a development that requires exclusive occupation of the foreshore. A licence is generally issued for a development or activity that does not require exclusive occupation of the foreshore and moorings also fall into this category. Each application is the subject of a range of detailed statutory assessments. Details on Foreshore applications are available at https://www.gov.ie/en/collection/f2196-foreshore-applications-and-determinations/ Please note that a foreshore licence for site investigation activity related to a potential Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) infrastructure project is just a survey of an area of foreshore to ascertain suitability for possible ORE physical infrastructure in the future. Such a licence does not result in permanent physical infrastructure being placed on the foreshore. With regards to the ORE physical infrastructure (arrays, cables, etc.), a separate application, directly related to such infrastructure, would be required and would undergo a robust application process, including public consultation. Clicking on a polygon’s Web Link launches the relevant page of the Foreshore website that provides the full suite of relevant application information including the various statutory assessment material. The current status of the application is also noted.

Telephone exchanges in Kentucky define a geographic area in which telephone prices and services are the same. This may be referred to as a rate area. The concept of exchange area is based on geography and regulation, not equipment . An exchange area polygon has only one operating company, which may be referred to as a local telephone company or incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC or LEC). Area Codes and LATAs (Local Access Transport Area, which is the area local telephone companies are permitted to offer local or long distance telecommunications services), are defined by grouping exchange areas. Energy projects are being implemented in humanitarian contexts across the globe. These excel spreadsheets include all known past and present energy projects that have taken place in refugee camps, IDP communities, and other crisis-affected populations throughout the world, and were collected by the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves on behalf of the Safe Access to Fuel & Energy (SAFE) Humanitarian Working Group. To view full descriptions of the projects represented here, please visit www.safefuelandenergy.org/where-we-work. This project listing was created as part of an effort to enhance coordination of activities, encourage collaboration, and share knowledge between organizations working on Safe Access to Fuel and Energy (SAFE) in humanitarian settings. Projects included in this database are those that improve access to fuel or energy for cooking, lighting, heating, or powering among crisis-affected populations. By crisis-affected populations we mean refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs), or those affected by natural disaster or prolonged conflict. Examples of applicable energy interventions include providing solar lighting, manufacturing and/or distributing cookstoves and fuels, setting up mini grids for camp electrification, establishing and managing woodlots for fuel provision and environmental protection, improving protection mechanisms for women during firewood collection, and many others, provided they take place among crisis-affected populations. The SAFE Humanitarian Working Group is a consortium of partners including UNHCR, FAO, WFP, the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, the Women's Refugee Commission, International Lifeline Fund, Mercy Corps, UNICEF, and other agencies. If you know of additional energy projects that are not shown here, please contact us at info@safefuelandenergy.org.
