✦ Suggested by OrionAIThis dataset contains Historic Landmarks (by structure) officially designated by the District of Columbia. This is a consolidated collection of structures with historical significance within the District of Columbia as listed in the "District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sights". It contains the SITES and attributes of buildings, statues, bridges, forts, fountains, & memorials of historical worth. These sites in general are the lot or lots that a structure or other designation sits on.
Parking meter assets are used to manage and encourage turnover of curbside use on streets in Washington, DC. These assets are owned, operated, and maintained by the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), unless otherwise noted (e.g. meters on National Park Service property are maintained and owned by the National Park Service).
This dataset contains georeferenced aerial imagery from 1927 and 1930 covering the District of Columbia. The original photographs were created as part of early aerial survey efforts and are held within a combined National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) catalog entry (NARA ID 139056920), Record Group 328. The images were scanned by the National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Federal Projects Planning Division (ca. 1926–ca. 1952). A multi-agency collaboration—including the Historic Preservation Office, OCTO, DHS, OP, DOEE, DOH, and FEMS—completed the georeferencing and mosaic development. As part of this effort, the team georeferenced and cataloged the full 1927 aerial photo series of the District, derived from more than 700 high‑resolution image scans. The resulting mosaic and index provide a historic baseline for land use, urban development, environmental analysis, and cultural resource research.
This table is a subset of ITSPE and represents vacant and blighted property. The tax assessment roll public extract (ITSPE) is used for assessment and property analysis, to send property tax bills and notices, and stores comprehensive tax information such as ownership, mailing addresses, non-contiguous Air Rights lots (Multifamily or Development), Air Rights lots, possessory interest lots, record lots, tax lots, parcels, condominiums, and federally owned lands such as reservations and appropriations. The linkage from the Vector Property layers to this database is SSL (Square, Suffix, and Lot). It should be noted that not all record lots have a direct 1:1 relationship to information in this database. The most obvious examples would be when a tax lot was created from existing record lots. In this case, only the tax lot would have linkage to the ITSPE, not the underlying record lots (though they still exist). Reservations that have been converted into tax lots are an additional example where the reservation still exists, however for taxation purposes the tax lot (overlay) supersedes and has corresponding linkage to ITS. The same is true for most Condominiums and the ground surface lot (Record) which still exist (common space) or the previous overlay (Air Right or Tax lot), only the Condo lot would have linkage to (ITSPE).
The dataset contains locations and attributes of building construction and alteration permits applied for and approved by the District of Columbia Department of Buildings. These data are shared via an automated process where addresses are batch matched (geocoded) to the District's Master Address Repository. Users may find that some data points will contain 0,0 for X,Y coordinates resulting in inconsistent spatial locations. Addresses for these data points could not be automatically geocoded and will need to be manually geocoded to 'best fit' locations in DC.
Campus plans defines University Areas. The dataset contains locations and attributes of University Areas, created as part of the DC Geographic Information System (DC GIS) for the D.C. Office of Zoning (DCOZ) and participating D.C. government agencies.
