The vehicle inspection fee is not paid at the inspection station; instead, it is paid at the time of vehicle registration. Vehicles are inspected in the order they arrive during normal hours of operation. Or, you may make an appointment to have your vehicle inspected. Passenger vehicle inspection appointments are only available for vehicles from 1996 and newer. If your vehicle is a passenger vehicle, and 1996 and newer, click on the link below to schedule an appointment.
Parking meter assets are used to manage and encourage turnover of curbside use on streets in Washington, DC. These assets are owned, operated, and maintained by the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), unless otherwise noted (e.g. meters on National Park Service property are maintained and owned by the National Park Service).
Driveways. A subset of Roadway Sub-Block. A single line, segmented at all intersections (alley , service road, drive, street, and driveway centerline types), representing each driveway in the District. They follow the general trend of the driveway and do not deviate due to parking lanes, turning lanes, etc. and contain address ranges for geocoding.
The dataset contains locations and attributes of above ground permits applied for and approved by the District Department of Transportation. They are newly occupied constructions and events. Examples include: moving truck, roll off debris container, moving storage container, construction staging area, mobile crane work zone, other reserved parking. The public space permit process is described on the DDOT website https://ddot.dc.gov. These data are shared via an automated process where addresses are batch matched (geocoded) to the District's Master Address Repository. Users may find that some data points will contain 0,0 for X,Y coordinates resulting in inconsistent spatial locations. Addresses for these data points could not be automatically geocoded and will need to be manually geocoded to 'best fit' locations in DC. Use the MAR Geocoderto help complete this.
