OrionAI now keeps watch for you

13 October 2026The OrionGIS team

OrionAI 1.4 brings a daily brief, flags on submissions that need a second look, dashboard alerts, an optional daily email, and a beta MCP server so the AI assistant you already use can work with OrionGIS.

Until now, OrionAI answered when you asked. OrionAI 1.4 also speaks up when something needs you, so you find out about a problem in your data the morning it arrives, not at month end.

#A daily brief on Home

Home now opens with your brief for the last 24 hours: how many submissions each form received, which entries are flagged to check, which dashboard alerts fired, and what new data in the catalogue relates to your projects. OrionAI writes the short summary at the top. The numbers underneath are counted straight from your data, and each line links to where you can act on it.

#Submissions that need a second look

On every form, OrionAI now highlights possible duplicates, values far from what that site usually reports, and entries completed in under a minute. It compares each facility with its own history, so a large referral hospital is not flagged just for being larger than a dispensary. It also flags only the most extreme cases, so the list stays short enough to act on. A typical catch: a facility that usually reports thousands of laboratory cases suddenly reporting zero.

If a flag is fine, click Looks fine and it is cleared.

#Alerts on any dashboard number

Click the bell on a dashboard widget and choose a line: tell me when malaria positivity goes above 30, or when monthly reports drop below 20. OrionGIS checks every hour and notifies you once when the value crosses. You can also ask OrionAI to set it up for you.

#Email, only if you want it

Everything above shows in the app and the notification bell. If you would rather get it in your inbox, turn on the daily email under OrionAI on your profile. It is off unless you turn it on.

#Your data, in the AI assistant you already use (beta)

Many of you already work in Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot. With the new OrionGIS MCP server, those assistants can use OrionGIS directly. They can search the catalogue, count your submissions exactly, read your dashboards, spot unusual entries and run spatial analysis on OrionGIS data, always with your permissions and nothing more. Create a connection key on your profile and follow the setup guide.

The beta is read-only apart from spatial analysis, which only adds new datasets. Tell us what you would like it to do next.
