This Entity describes the stretch of land adjacent to the sea, designed to allow consents, assets, RFS etc to be assigned to the correct Property or Functional Location where no RatingUnit exists. The coverage extends from a RatingUnit or AssetStreetCatchment out to the estimated Mean Low Water Spring tide and is further defined by features in close proximity, such as placenames, parks or localities. It was initially populated via a one off derivation but will be maintained manually as future updates are required. When deleted, the record is Archived. It is spatially abstracted to an area. Entity Type: Concept.

The identification and geolocation of oases across the Maghreb region were conducted in several steps. First, multiple digital archives were reviewed, and the available oasis locations were compiled into a single geospatial layer. The main data sources were the Lab Oasis Foundation (https://www.laboasis.org/) and S-Oases (https://oasen.sgn.one), an open-source database of oases. The attributes associated with each location were enriched with the country name, administrative level 1 and level 2 names, the nearest village, and the geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude). Second, national consultants validated the spatial accuracy of the oasis locations and the consistency of their associated attributes. Based on this validation, some points were removed, while others were repositioned or had their attributes revised. **Data creation:** 2026-10-09 **Contact points:** **Resource constraints:** This work is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC-BY-4.0) **Online resources:**
