About this dataset

This layer provides a geographic representation of the fare zones used by Auckland Transport to calculate public transport fares. The polygons depict the spatial extent of each fare zone and are intended to support mapping and visualisation of the fare zone system. For information about fare zones and fare calculations, visit the Auckland Transport Bus and Train Fares page. Update Cycle: Currently this is a static dataset, any changes are manually loaded when they occur.

City Centre Port Noise Overlay

City Centre port noise. The overlay is applied to land near Auckland’s downtown port. Buildings accommodating noise sensitive land uses within the overlay must be insulated to achieve an internal noise level appropriate to the activity. This will ensure that noise sensitive land uses within the overlay achieve a good standard of amenity and the port is able to operate efficiently.

2022 Intermediate Zone Centroids

Intermediate zone centroids are point features that represent the population weighted centre of intermediate zones – the geography used for the dissemination of small area statistics in Scotland when results are unsuitable for release at data zone level. These centroids are used to link intermediate zones to other (higher level) geographies and produce a 'best-fit' match. Intermediate zones can then be aggregated to approximate this larger area of interest or higher level geography that statistics wouldn’t normally be available for. Intermediate zones represent a relatively stable geography that can be used to analyse change over time, with changes only occurring after a Census. This dataset represents the intermediate zones that were created following the 2022 Census, with 1,334 intermediate zones covering the whole of Scotland.

Parking Zones

Parking zones created from collected sign data throughout Washington DC. Parking Zones are created between two parking restriction signs of the same type that point at each other, or between a sign and an intersection.
