About this dataset

Access to information: countries where communities have access to information through ICTs, phones, or other means. Pixels with a value lower than the specified threshold (5) were given a value of -1 (YES response) Mobile cellular telephone subscriptions are subscriptions to a public mobile telephone service using cellular technology, which provide access to the public switched telephone network. Post-paid and prepaid subscriptions are included. **Data revision:** 2022-01-13 **Contact points:** Contact: [European Commission: JRC - DRMKC - INFORM risk](mailto:EC-drmkc@ec.europa.eu) Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** license **Online resources:**

Access to electricity

Access to electricity: areas where the access to electricity is higher than 80%. Pixels with a value higher than the specified threshold (80%) were given a value of -1 (YES response) Access to electricity is the percentage of population with access to electricity. Electrification data are collected from industry, national surveys and international sources. **Data revision:** 2022-01-13 **Contact points:** Contact: [DataBank](mailto:data@worldbank.org) The World Bank Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** license **Online resources:** The World Bank - DataBank World Development Indicators

Weather information

Weather information: countries where there are weather forecasts available. Pixels with a value higher than the specified threshold (50%) were given a value of -1 (YES response) Official weather observations, weather forecasts and climatological information for selected cities supplied by National Meteorological & Hydrological Services (NMHSs) worldwide. The NMHSs make official weather observations in their respective countries. Links to their official weather service websites and tourism board/organization are also provided whenever available. Weather icons are shown alongside worded forecasts in this version to facilitate visual inspection. By June 2021, WWIS provided official weather information for 2963 cities in which 2819 cities are available with forecast from 139 members while 2177 cities are available with climatological information from 170 members. **Data revision:** 2021-07-01 **Contact points:** Contact: [WMO](mailto:webmaster@worldweather.org) Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** License CC BY-NC-ND 4.0: Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Notes to users of the forecast data and climatological information of the WWIS website: 1. Mobile cellular subscriptions

Mobile cellular telephone subscriptions are subscriptions to a public mobile telephone service that provide access to the PSTN using cellular technology. The indicator includes (and is split into) the number of postpaid subscriptions, and the number of active prepaid accounts (i.e. that have been used during the last three months). The indicator applies to all mobile cellular subscriptions that offer voice communications. It excludes subscriptions via data cards or USB modems, subscriptions to public mobile data services, private trunked mobile radio, telepoint, radio paging and telemetry services.

Epidemics

Epidemics: countries where humanitarian crises, including health crises, are impeding the population to address the potential impacts of climate change. Pixels with a value higher than the specified threshold (6) were given a value of 1 (YES response) The INFORM Epidemic Risk Index is a prototype version of hazard dependent INFORM Risk Index created in 2018. It was developed under the technical lead of the JRC and in close collaboration with WHO for the epidemic components. In its original version it covers four groups of Infectious diseases on the base of the mode of transmission and the epidemiological triad addressing agent, host and environment: Zoonoses, Vector borne, Person-to-person (P2P), Foodborne and Waterborne. **Data revision:** 2020-01-01 **Contact points:** Contact: [DRMKC - Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre](mailto:EC-drmkc@ec.europa.eu) JRC European Commission Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** license **Online resources:** The INFORM Epidemic Risk Index assesses the risk of countries to epidemic outbreak, which would exceed the national capacity to respond to the crisis.

Economic means

Economic: countries where the community has the economic means to adapt to climate change and associated hazards. Pixels with a value higher than the specified threshold (20000USD/year) were given a value of -1 (YES response) The dataset presents the countries where the community has the economic means to adapt climate change and associated hazards. This indicator provides per capita values for gross domestic product (GDP) expressed in current international dollars converted by purchasing power parity (PPP) conversion factor. GDP is the sum of gross value added by all resident producers in the country plus any product taxes and minus any subsidies not included in the value of the products. **Data revision:** 2021-01-01 **Contact points:** Contact: [DataBank](mailto:data@worldbank.org) The World Bank Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** license **Online resources:** The World Bank - DataBank World Development Indicators
