OrionAI 1.2.0

OrionAI 1.2.0Released 13 October 2026

OrionAI can now do things for you — create projects, add data, make maps, rename them and improve dataset descriptions — and every change waits for your confirmation and can be undone.

Read the announcement: OrionAI now does things for you, and you stay in control

Changes since 1.1.0.

#New

  • Actions with confirm and undo. Ask OrionAI to make a change and it shows a card with exactly what will change. Nothing happens until you press Confirm, and Undo reverses it afterwards. It can:
    • create a project, or rename it and rewrite its description;
    • add catalogue datasets to a project;
    • create a map, in a project or on its own, starting with the datasets you name;
    • add datasets as layers to one of your maps;
    • rename a map;
    • improve a dataset's title or description, if you are allowed to edit it.
  • Looks things up first. OrionAI searches the catalogue, reads datasets and reads your projects before it answers or proposes a change, and shows what it is doing while it works.
  • Project memory. Inside a project (its overview, or one of its maps), OrionAI remembers what you asked and what was done there, so you can pick up where you left off.
  • OrionAI for client accounts. Client accounts can now ask OrionAI about the forms and dashboards they have access to. It answers from what is on the page and does not search the catalogue or make changes.

#Improved

  • Answers for data questions now always start with a catalogue search and link the datasets they used.
  • Staff can see in the admin console how many changes OrionAI proposed, how many were confirmed and how many were undone.
