Sharper raster thumbnails, and none that mislead
OrionGIS web 1.7.2Released 16 October 2026
Rasters Orion can draw get a full-size thumbnail from the data instead of the publisher's small quicklook; a raster with no known area shows "Preview coming" rather than an empty world map.
Changes since 1.7.1.
#Fixed
- Full-size thumbnails from the data. When Orion can draw a dataset itself (its features, or its map, image or COG service over a known area), the thumbnail comes from the data rather than the publisher's small quicklook.
- No empty-world thumbnails. A raster with no known area no longer gets a picture of an empty map; its card says Preview coming.
- EPA EnviroAtlas, FEMA and other ArcGIS Server layers published in Web Mercator now have their area, so they appear on the map and get real thumbnails.
