**UNOSAT code: LS20240512IDN, GDACS ID: 1102617** This map illustrates satellite-detected mudslide / lahar in Lima Kaum, Rambatanm and Pariangan Districts, Tanah Datar Metropolitan, Sumatera Barat Province, Indonesia, as observed from a Pléiades image acquired on 17 May 2024. Within the analyzed area of about 50 km², about 1.3 km² mudslide / lahar extent was observed. Based on Worldpop population data and the maximal mudslide / lahar extent ~1,200 people are potentially exposed or living close to the affected areas. Furthermore, within the analyzed area, 240 buildings are identified as affected by the floods (1% from the total structures in the analysed area), along with about 2 km of roads, as of 17 May 2024 This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT).
This map illustrates areas potentially affected by the mudflow, extracted from a Pleiades and GeoEye-1 satellite images acquired on the 10 April 2017 over Mocoa city and its outskirts, in Putumayo Department, Colombia. Inside some neighbourhoods of the city of Mocoa, flood waters and mudflow have receded compared with previous analysis performed by UNOSAT using an image from 4 April 2017. The situation as of 10 April 2017 reveals: 22 km of roads seem potentially affected and about 1,300 buildings are within areas which are still experiencing floods and mud flow. It is likely that flood waters and mudflow could have been systematically under or overestimated along highly vegetated areas and within built-up urban areas. This analysis has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to UNITAR-UNOSAT.
**UNOSAT code: FL20261011NPL** This map illustrates the cumulative satellite-detected water extent derived from Sentinel-2 imagery acquired on 11 October 2026. Within the analysed area of about 470 km², approximately 18 km² of land appear to be affected by flood waters and/or mudflow. The analysis indicates that about 400 buildings were exposed to the mudflow and approximately 33 km of road were affected. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send any ground feedback to the United Nations Satellite Centre.
