✦ Suggested by OrionAIDisaster risk reduction progress score is an average of self-assessment scores, ranging from 1 to 5, submitted by countries under Priority 1 of the Hyogo Framework National Progress Reports. The Hyogo Framework is a global blueprint for disaster risk reduction efforts that was adopted by 168 countries in 2005. Assessments of "Priority 1" include four indicators that reflect the degree to which countries have prioritized disaster risk reduction and the strengthening of relevant institutions.
Epidemics: countries where humanitarian crises, including health crises, are impeding the population to address the potential impacts of climate change. Pixels with a value higher than the specified threshold (6) were given a value of 1 (YES response) The INFORM Epidemic Risk Index is a prototype version of hazard dependent INFORM Risk Index created in 2018. It was developed under the technical lead of the JRC and in close collaboration with WHO for the epidemic components. In its original version it covers four groups of Infectious diseases on the base of the mode of transmission and the epidemiological triad addressing agent, host and environment: Zoonoses, Vector borne, Person-to-person (P2P), Foodborne and Waterborne. **Data revision:** 2020-01-01 **Contact points:** Contact: [DRMKC - Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre](mailto:EC-drmkc@ec.europa.eu) JRC European Commission Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** license **Online resources:** The INFORM Epidemic Risk Index assesses the risk of countries to epidemic outbreak, which would exceed the national capacity to respond to the crisis.
Human Development Index (HDI): countries where the HDI is below 0.6. Pixels with a value lower than the specified threshold (0.6) were given a value of 1 (YES response) The Human Development Index (HDI) is a summary measure of average achievement in key dimensions of human development: a long and healthy life, being knowledgeable and a decent standard of living. The HDI is the geometric mean of normalized indices for each of the three dimensions. The health dimension is assessed by life expectancy at birth, the education dimension is measured by the mean of years of schooling for adults aged 25 years and more and expected years of schooling for children of school entering age. The standard of living dimension is measured by gross national income per capita. The HDI uses the logarithm of income, to reflect the diminishing importance of income with increasing Gross National Income (GNI). The scores for the three HDI dimension indices are then aggregated into a composite index using geometric mean. The HDI simplifies and captures only part of what human development entails. It does not reflect inequalities, poverty, human security, empowerment, etc. . Food insecurity: countries where the food insecurity prevalence is above 30%. Pixels with a value higher than the specified threshold (30%) were given a value of 1 (YES response) The percentage of people in the population who live in households classified as moderately or severely food insecure. A household is classified as moderately or severely food insecure when at least one adult in the household has reported to have been exposed, at times during the year, to low quality diets and might have been forced to also reduce the quantity of food they would normally eat because of a lack of money or other resources. **Data revision:** 2021-01-01 **Contact points:** Contact: [](mailto:data@worldbank.org) World Bank Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** More information on the data license at: https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/summary/ **Online resources:** World Bank data on Prevalence of moderate or severe food insecurity in the population (%)
Economic: countries where the community has the economic means to adapt to climate change and associated hazards. Pixels with a value higher than the specified threshold (20000USD/year) were given a value of -1 (YES response) The dataset presents the countries where the community has the economic means to adapt climate change and associated hazards. This indicator provides per capita values for gross domestic product (GDP) expressed in current international dollars converted by purchasing power parity (PPP) conversion factor. GDP is the sum of gross value added by all resident producers in the country plus any product taxes and minus any subsidies not included in the value of the products. **Data revision:** 2021-01-01 **Contact points:** Contact: [DataBank](mailto:data@worldbank.org) The World Bank Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** license **Online resources:** The World Bank - DataBank World Development Indicators
Access to information: countries where communities have access to information through ICTs, phones, or other means. Pixels with a value lower than the specified threshold (5) were given a value of -1 (YES response) Mobile cellular telephone subscriptions are subscriptions to a public mobile telephone service using cellular technology, which provide access to the public switched telephone network. Post-paid and prepaid subscriptions are included. **Data revision:** 2022-01-13 **Contact points:** Contact: [European Commission: JRC - DRMKC - INFORM risk](mailto:EC-drmkc@ec.europa.eu) Metadata contact: [OCB Environment](mailto:OCB-Environment-List@fao.org) FAO-UN **Resource constraints:** license **Online resources:**
