✦ Suggested by OrionAI# EOS-RS Damage Proxy Map: Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan, Landslides, 06 Jun 2026, v0.8 The Earth Observatory of Singapore - Remote Sensing Lab (EOS-RS) created this preliminary Damage Proxy Map (DPM) depicting areas that are likely damaged in Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan, due to landslides. This map was derived from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellite operated by the European Space Agency (ESA) before (18 Feb 2026 to 31 May 2026) and during (06 Jun 2026) the event. The map covers an area indicated by the white polygon. Damage is shown by colored pixels of 30m in size, where yellow to red indicates increasingly significant ground surface change before and after the event. Preliminary validation was conducted using news reports. This map should be used as a guidance to identify damaged areas, and may be less reliable over vegetated or mountainous areas. Scattered pixels over vegetated or mountainous areas may be false positives, and a lack of colored pixels over such areas may not mean no damage. The product contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data (2026), processed by ESA and analyzed by the Earth Observatory of Singapore - Remote Sensing Lab (EOS-RS). **More map details and files:** **Legal Disclaimer:** **Credits:** Earth Observatory of Singapore - Remote Sensing Lab (EOS-RS), Contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data (2026)
**UNOSAT code: FL20240426KEN, GDACS ID: 1102561** This map illustrates satellite-detected landslides in Mai Mahiu and Kijabe Towns, Kenya, as observed from a Pléiades image acquired on 1 May 2024 at 11:06 local time (08:06 UTC). Within the analyzed area, about 2 km² of landslide scars with a total length of 10 km were observed. UNITAR-UNOSAT identified 1,338 affected structures, about 10 km of affected roads, 2 damaged bridges, and 1 damaged railway. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT).
**UNOSAT code: TC20201111PHL** This map illustrates satellite-detected mudslide extent in the Historical Cagsawa and surrounding in Daraga Municipality, Albay Province, Bicol Region, Philippines as observed on Pleiades image acquired on 13th of November 2020 at 10:47 Local time. About 80 buildings are identified as damaged and 30 as potentially damaged. Some roads were also identified as potentially damaged. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to UNITAR-UNOSAT.
**UNOSAT code FL20230504RWA, GDACS Id: 1101977** This map illustrates satellite-detected landslides / mudslides around Kibingo, Congonil, Kagana and Ghanga Villages in Rutsiro District (Western Province, Rwanda) as observed/detected from a Sentinel-2 satellite imagery acquired on 07 May 2023 at 08:30 local time. Within the analysed area, about 2,5 km2 of landslides scars are observed. Some of past landslides seem to have been reactivated during these flooding/landslides event. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT).
**UNOSAT code FL20230508COD, GDACS Id: 1101981** This map illustrates satellite-detected landslides/mudflow-related impact in Kalehe Territory, Sud-Kivu Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo as observed from a Sentinel-2 image acquired on 7 May 2023. Within the analysed area of about 9,000 ha, 90 ha of landslide scars were observed. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT).
**UNOSAT code: FL20240512AFG, GDACS ID: 1102616** This map illustrates satellite-detected mudflow extent in Burka District, Baghlan Province, Afghanistan as observed from a Pléiades image acquired on 14 May 2024 at 10:48 local time (06:18 UTC). Within the analysed area of about 130 km², a total of about 18 km² of lands appear to be affected by mudflow. UNITAR-UNOSAT identified 2,042 affected structures. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT).
