Theme 5.2 is private households by size. Details include private households by size, number of households and number of person Under Local government legislation the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government is responsible for dividing each city, county, and city and county into local electoral areas. Each county, city and city and county is divided into Local Electoral Areas (LEAs) and members of local authorities are elected in these. LEAs and the number of members to be elected in each are specified in a statutory instrument for each local authority area. In general, LEAs are formed by aggregating Electoral Divisions. Census 2022 - Table 11.4 - Population aged 15 years and over by working from home by Local Electoral Areas

Population aged 15 years and over by working from home by Local Electoral Areas. (Census 2022 Theme 11 Table 4 ) Census 2022 table 11.4 is population aged 15 years and over by working from home. Attributes include a breakdown of population by number of people working from home. Census 2022 theme 11 is Commuting, Working from Home and Childcare. For the purposes of Local Authority elections, each county and city is divided into Local Electoral Areas (LEAs) which are constituted on the basis of Orders made under the Local Government Act, 1941. Statutory Instruments 610-638 of 2018 and 6-8, 27-28, 156-157 of 2019 state the current composition of LEAs. In general, LEAs are formed by aggregating Electoral Divisions. However, in a number of cases, Electoral Divisions are split between LEAs and in order to render them suitable for the production of statistics, the CSO has amended some LEA boundaries to ensure that statistical disclosure does not occur. As a result of these amendments, Census 2022 LEAs are comprised of whole Census 2022 Electoral Divisions. Coordinate reference system: Irish Transverse Mercator (EPSG 2157). (Census 2022 Theme 11 Table 1 ) Census 2022 table 11.1 is population aged 5+ by means of travel to work, school or college. Attributes include a breakdown of population by means of travel to work, school or college. Census 2022 theme 11 is Commuting, Working from Home and Childcare. The country is divided into 31 administrative counties/cities. Outside Dublin, there are 23 administrative counties and four cities: Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway. There are four local authority areas in Dublin: Dublin City and the three administrative counties of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin. The Local Government Reform Act 2014 Section 9 provided for the amalgamation of the city and county councils in Limerick, Waterford, and North Tipperary and South Tipperary County Councils. Census 2022 - Table 12.2 - Carers by sex by Electoral Divisions

Carers by sex by Electoral Divisions. (Census 2022 Theme 12 Table 2 ) Census 2022 table 12.2 is carers by sex. Attributes include a breakdown of carers by sex. Census 2022 theme 12 is Disability, Carers, General Health and Smoking. Electoral Divisions (EDs) are the smallest legally defined administrative areas in the State. There are 3,440 legally defined EDs in the State. However, in order to render them suitable for the production of statistics, the CSO has amended some ED boundaries to ensure that statistical disclosure does not occur. This has had the effect of amalgamating some EDs and splitting others. The amending of the Cork City and Cork County boundaries necessitated a redrawing of Electoral Division boundaries within Cork to ensure all ED boundaries in the county were suitable for the production of statistical data. For Census 2022, the CSO is publishing data for 3,420 CSO Electoral Divisions. The CSO Electoral divisions are referred to by their established statutory names. Formally “District Electoral Divisions” (DEDs), under the 2001 Local Government Act, the names of Wards and the names of District Electoral Divisions were changed to Electoral Divisions. Details include private households by year built, number of households and number of persons. Census 2022 theme 6 is Housing. Built Up Areas (BUAs) are a new type of urban geography that define towns. They are the result of a collaboration between the CSO, Tailte Éireann and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. BUAs are made up of whole Small Areas which eliminates the possibility of statistical disclosure. Coordinate reference system: Irish Transverse Mercator (EPSG 2157). They do not have any administrative functions and they are relevant for a number of historical, cultural and sporting reasons. The borders of the provinces coincide with the boundaries of counties. Three of the nine counties in Ulster are within the jurisdiction of the State. Coordinate reference system: Irish Transverse Mercator (EPSG 2157). ACS 1-Year Housing Characteristics of DC 2023

Occupancy status, Units, Rooms, Year built, Owner/Renter (Tenure), Mortgage/Rent costs, and more. This service is updated annually with American Community Survey (ACS) 1-year data. Contact: District of Columbia, Office of Planning. Email: planning@dc.gov. Geography: District-wide. Current Vintage: 2023. ACS Table(s): DP04. Data downloaded from: Census Bureau's API for American Community Survey. Date of API call: January 2, 2025. National Figures: data.census.gov. Please cite the Census and ACS when using this data. Data Note from the Census: Data are based on a sample and are subject to sampling variability. The degree of uncertainty for an estimate arising from sampling variability is represented through the use of a margin of error. The value shown here is the 90 percent margin of error. The margin of error can be interpreted as providing a 90 percent probability that the interval defined by the estimate minus the margin of error and the estimate plus the margin of error (the lower and upper confidence bounds) contains the true value. In addition to sampling variability, the ACS estimates are subject to nonsampling error (for a discussion of nonsampling variability, see Accuracy of the Data). The effect of nonsampling error is not represented in these tables. Data Processing Notes: This layer is updated automatically when the most current vintage of ACS data is released each year, usually in December. The layer always contains the latest available ACS 5-year estimates. It is updated annually within days of the Census Bureau's release schedule. Boundaries come from the US Census TIGER geodatabases. Boundaries are updated at the same time as the data updates (annually), and the boundary vintage appropriately matches the data vintage as specified by the Census. These are Census boundaries with water and/or coastlines clipped for cartographic purposes. For census tracts, the water cutouts are derived from a subset of the 2020 AWATER (Area Water) boundaries offered by TIGER. For state and county boundaries, the water and coastlines are derived from the coastlines of the 500k TIGER Cartographic Boundary Shapefiles. The original AWATER and ALAND fields are still available as attributes within the data table (units are square meters). Field alias names were created based on the Table Shells file available from the American Community Survey Summary File Documentation page. Data processed using R statistical package and ArcGIS Desktop. Margin of Error was not included in this layer but is available from the Census Bureau. Contact the Office of Planning for more information about obtaining Margin of Error values.

Theme 11.3 is population aged 5+ by journey time to work, school or college. Attributes include a breakdown of population by time taken to travel to work, school or college Legal Towns were abolished Under the Local Government Reform Act 2014. Legal towns had to some extent local government in the form of city councils or town commissioners. Under the Local Government Act 2001, administrative counties and county boroughs were redesignated as counties and cities respectively. The lower tier consisted of boroughs and towns (including both former urban districts and towns administered by town commissioners). Under the Local Government Reform Act 2014, only Dublin, Cork and Galway retain separate city councils. Limerick and Waterford were merged into the corresponding county councils and all borough and town councils were abolished.
