OrionAI loads data and satellite imagery for you

Ask OrionAI, or any assistant connected over MCP, to put a dataset on a map for an area or to find a satellite scene and show it as NDVI or another index.

  • Find scenes (find_scenes): satellite scenes for an area and dates, with cloud cover and quicklooks.
  • Load a dataset (load_dataset): a dataset from the data index on a new map for an area, as a private copy or a live layer. Spends one AI credit in the Ask OrionAI panel; undo deletes the new map.
  • Make an imagery layer (make_imagery_layer): one scene in true colour or as NDVI, NDWI, NDBI or NBR, on a new map. Spends one AI credit in the panel; undo deletes the new map.
  • All three are on the OrionGIS MCP server too, where they only ever add a new map of your own and return its link.
