From finding data to using it, in one click
Datasets OrionAI discovers on publishers' portals now load straight into your map for the area you work in, and satellite collections turn into NDVI and other index layers without downloading a thing.
Last week OrionGIS started indexing public data from portals around the world. Now you can use it.
Open in map, for your area. On any discovered dataset, choose your area and press Open in map. Small vector data arrives as a private copy in your workspace, ready to style, analyse and share. Large data and imagery arrive as a live layer, streamed from the publisher and bounded to your area, so a national file doesn't have to become your problem. The publisher and licence travel with every layer.
Satellite imagery without the downloads. Pick a collection, draw your area, set dates and a cloud limit, and browse scenes with quicklooks. Add one in true colour or as NDVI for vegetation, NDWI for water, NDBI for built-up land or NBR for burn scars. Orion's own tiler computes the index on the fly. Need the pixels? Save a snapshot of just your area as a GeoTIFF.
Or just ask. "Show me NDVI for Nairobi National Park from the clearest scene this September." OrionAI finds the scene and builds the layer, and the same tools work from Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot through the OrionGIS MCP server.
