Changes since 1.3.0.
#New
- Discovered datasets. Data Explorer and the dataset pages now include public datasets OrionAI has found on publishers' own portals, marked "Discovered by OrionAI" with the publisher's name. They come from catalogues such as the Humanitarian Data Exchange, geoBoundaries, the Microsoft Planetary Computer, NASA, Copernicus and Digital Earth Africa, as each portal is approved by our data team.
- Access levels. Each discovered dataset shows whether it is Open, View only, or available with your own account with the publisher, based on its licence.
- Columns and sample rows for discovered datasets, read from the source, so you can judge a dataset before using it.
- Imagery collections have their own pages with platform, sensor, resolution and bands.
#Improved
- Data Discovery for Orion staff. Portals run a dry run before their first harvest, and its results are shown for approval. Suspected duplicates and low-confidence categories go to the review queue.
For now, discovered datasets can be viewed, saved and shared; loading them into a map isn't available yet.
