Follow the data you care about, and find places like any place on Earth
Follow a county, a theme or a dataset and hear the moment something changes; click any spot and see where else on the map looks like it; and publishers can now put their data on OrionGIS themselves.
The data index now grows every week. This release makes sure the right parts of it come to you.
Follow what matters to you. Follow a county, a country, a theme like health or water, a dataset you rely on, a publisher's portal, or your project's area. When new data covers it, when a dataset is updated at its source or goes offline, or when a fresh satellite scene arrives under your cloud limit, you get one notification that says what changed. Open it right in the bell to see the datasets, view or save them, see the area on a small map, or stop following.
Find places like this. Earth-embedding layers describe every 10 m of land with 64 numbers that summarise years of satellite observation. Click a smallholder farm, a mangrove stand or an informal settlement, and OrionGIS colours your whole area by how alike every part of it is. Keep the result as a map, or just ask OrionAI: "Where else in Kilifi looks like this mangrove?"
Publish with us. Data publishers can now register their portal or a single dataset. Once our data team approves it, every dataset gets its own page on OrionGIS with your name and licence, is found by search engines and AI assistants, and loads into maps for any area. You see how often your data is viewed and used.
Open by default. The index's public records are also available as open STAC and DCAT catalogues for anyone building on them.
