Center Line Ties are used primarily by engineering surveyors to locate the centers of streets, typically at intersections. These are necessary for private development projects, improvements in the public right-of-way, and tract/parcel maps.

This RGB uses a shortwave, the near-infrared, and red channels from the instrument. True Color: The True Color RGB composite provides a product of how the surface would look to the naked eye from space. The RGB is created using the red, green, and blue channels of the respective instrument. Suggested Use: Natural Color: areas of water will appear blue, healthy green vegetation will appear as a bright green, urban areas in various shades of magenta. True Color: provides a product of how the surface would look to the naked eye from space. The True Color RGB is produced using the 3 visible wavelength bands (red, green, and blue) from the respective sensor. Some minor atmospheric corrections have occurred. The composite risk dataset is the central product of the 2024 National Insect and Disease Risk Map (NIDRM). Risk is defined as: the expectation that 25 percent or more of the standing live basal area of trees greater than 1 inch in diameter will die over a 15-year (2024 to 2038) time frame due to insects and diseases. The 2024 NIDRM represents the integration of 172 individual insect and disease hazard models, all constructed within a common GIS-based, multi-criteria framework that can account for regional variations in forest health. The production of the 2024 Risk Map has been a highly collaborative process led by the USDA Forest Service (Forest Service) Forest Health Assessment and Applied Sciences Team (FHAAST) and Forest Health Protection (FHP). This layer divides pixels into two classes, based on their cumulative risk from all forest pests and pathogens: Risk: ≥ 25% of total tree basal area is at hazard. Identifying locations where wildfire fuel reduction projects overlap with elevated insect and disease risk. Informing long-range forest health assessments and policy decisions. The map should not be used to determine exactly where to cut trees, thin stands, apply pesticides, or conduct field treatments without additional site-specific analysis. Questions? Please leave a comment below if you have a question about this layer, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
