Bike Action Plan LTS and PBL Layers

Update: Bike Action Plan Amendment was adopted unanimously by City Council on 10/13/20The 2011 Bike Action plan provided a 5-year and 20-year road map for developing Santa Monica’s bicycle network. At that time protected bicycle lanes were not yet well-known in the United States. This Amendment provides an update to the Bike Action Plan that builds on the 20-year vision by updating corridors to protected bike lanes. The Amendment was developed following the same goals and objectives of the Bike Action Plan, but with an updated approach to meet the needs of Santa Monica today. The Amendment creates a path forward for Santa Monica to build a network of protected bikeways citywide in the next five years, compete for outside grant funding, and to continue progress towards the community’s climate, safety, and mobility goals, and build resilience in these uncertain economic times. 2011 Bike Action PlanThe Bike Action Plan is guided and supported by Santa Monica’s award-winning 2010 Land Use and Circulation Element (LUCE) which lays out a bold vision for the city’s future, one that protects and enhances the city’s beautiful neighborhoods, creates new community benefits in complete neighborhoods around the new light rail stations, supports community character through good design, and minimizes traffic through a “No Net New Vehicle Trips” policy. This Bike Action Plan strives to be equally bold and practical. On the one hand, this plan envisions a future Santa Monica in which it is attractive and fun for Santa Monicans of all ages and abilities to use a bike to get everywhere in the city and to meet all the needs of daily life. On the other hand, it is also a detailed five-year implementation strategy for moving toward that vision. The adopted LUCE established a strong framework that supports the Bike Action Plan through: Integrating Land Use and Transportation Creating Complete Streets Preserving and Enhancing Neighborhoods Managing Congestion Ensuring Quality Transportation Choices Facilitating Affordable and Healthy Transportation Supporting Economic Health

Preferential Parking

Preferential Parking PermitsPreferential parking regulations manage the use of on-street parking to assist residents with valid permits and their guests in finding parking near their homes. A preferential parking permit exempts a vehicle from preferential parking restrictions within the specified zone and within a two-block radius of the registered address only. Preferential parking permits do not exempt permit holders from other parking regulations such as curb markings, alleys, parking meters, street sweeping, oversize vehicle regulations, or anywhere else where parking is prohibited. Preferential parking permits are for residential purposes only. Use of preferential parking permits for any other purposes violates the Santa Monica Municipal Code (SMMC) Chapter 3.08 and may subject the violators to citation and/or more severe forms of punishment. Preferential Parking EligibilityOnly residents who live on a block with preferential parking restrictions are eligible to purchase a Resident or Visitor permit [SMMC 3.08]. To determine the status of your block, please review the Preferential Parking Map using the key below:Red Blocks: Preferential parking restrictions have already been implemented (eligible). Blue Blocks: The City Council has pre-approved restrictions for your block; however, a petition is required before restrictions will be implemented (not eligible). Other/No Color: The City Council approval is required in addition to a completed petition (not eligible). Learn more at https://www.smgov.net/departments/pcd/permits/preferential-parking-permits/

ProTrack Project Initiation Line

Rehabilitation projects for roadways, sidewalks, alleys and markings from ProTrack+. When approved this polyline can be selected in project solicitation phase to associate it with a Solicitation Number and/or Contract Number. All project locations must be added during initiation. As the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) works to meet the goals of quality roadways, it has taken into account road quality assessment and community requests allowing the department to first address the streets that are in greatest need and highest priority to the community. Keeping DC roads in good condition provides maximum benefit to the traveling public by enhancing the safety of the roadway and improving the ride comfort of the road surface. View our weekly construction update to find out where DDOT crews are scheduled to be working over the coming days.

Bicycle Traffic Counts at 30th Street South of Colorado - West Side 2026 Forward

This data logs bicycle and/or pedestrian data from our permanent counters. The permanent counters use loops, sensors, or camera systems to quantify such data. The counters continuously transmit the raw data from the location noted in the title. Counts are displayed in real-time and are grouped together in 60-minute intervals for reporting. Adjustment factors for data have not been applied to reflect field validation of equipment. Data validation is completed one year after the data is released – i.e. 2025 data will be validated by end of 2026. Data in this file is for 2026 forward. If data is needed for a project, please reach out to the Transportation and Mobility Department. Please note that this data comes from a third-party vendor, Eco-Counter, and the City of Boulder's data reporting process relies on the data extracted from their system.

Block Centroids

The dataset contains locations and attributes of blocks, created as part of the Master Address Repository (MAR) for the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) and participating DC government agencies. The blocks used street centerlines information from DDOT. Blocks include named alleys in DC (such as 'WALTER ALLEY NE'). A block represents a street segment which usually has two bordering streets. The coordinates for the blocks are located at the midpoint of the street segment. More information on the MAR can be found at https://opendata.dc.gov/pages/addressing-in-dc. The data dictionary is available: https://opendata.dc.gov/documents/2a4b3d59aade43188b6d18e3811f4fd3/explore. In the MAR 2, the BlocksPt is called BLOCKS_PT and is primarily based off of street data from DC Department of Transportation's Roads & Highways database, it also features additional useful information such as created date, last edited date, begin date, and more.

CRTPO STIP 2026-2035 lines

The STIP is a multi-year capital improvement document which denotes the scheduling and funding of construction projects across the state over a minimum 4 year time period as required by Federal law. North Carolina’s STIP covers a 10 year period, with the first six years referred to as the delivery STIP and the latter four years as the developmental STIP. Per 23 CFR 450.216 & 23 U.S. Code § 135 STIP’s must also: Be submitted to Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) & Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for approval at least every 4 years Be fiscally constrained by year Include all capital and non-capital projects using Title 23 USC or Title 49 USC funds, other than certain safety, planning, and research funds Include metropolitan TIPs (Transportation Improvement Projects) from Metropolitan Planning Organizations Provide public comment opportunity on STIP document And include the following information: Project description and termini Estimated total cost (NCDOT includes Utility, R/W, and Construction costs) Federal funds to be obligated Responsible agency (such as municipality) The STIP contains funding information and schedules for transportation modes and programs including: Highways, Aviation, Bicycle and Pedestrian, Ferry, Public Transportation, Rail, Governor’s Highway Safety and statewide related programs. The transportation program in the STIP is organized by the 14 transportation divisions. Each Division section includes a funding source reference table and is divided between highway and non-highway project schedules. Projects are also listed by county within each division. This results in some duplication since transportation projects frequently extend across county and division lines. When this duplication occurs, a project is listed in each county in which it is found. Projects are further subdivided by category: interstate, rural, urban, bridge, municipal bridge, bicycle and pedestrian, congestion mitigation, highway safety improvement program, ferry, passenger rail, and roadside environmental. Interstate, rural, urban, bridge, and ferry projects are described by route number. Municipal bridge, bike and pedestrian projects are listed by city or county. Congestion mitigation and passenger rail projects are listed alphabetically by city or county. Highway safety improvement program projects may be listed by route, city, or county. The Public Transportation program list projects first by the transportation partners and providers then by identification numbers. Projects are also listed by the STI category they are funded from, i.e., by Statewide Mobility, Regional Impact, or Division Needs. The phases of projects (such as Right of Way (R), Utility relocation (U), and Construction (C) are listed by Fiscal Year along with their costs and anticipated funding sources. All projects require extensive planning, environmental impact and design studies. The location and exact type of improvements are subject to refinement and modification during the planning and design phases. North Carolina’s STIP is updated every two years and developed in concert with federal and state revenue forecasts, North Carolina Department of Transportation’s (NCDOT’s) Strategic Prioritization process, preconstruction and project development timetables, and in adherence with federal and state laws. North Carolina state law requires Board of Transportation (BOT) action to approve the STIP.
