Open data picked for you
OrionGIS now suggests open datasets based on what you actually use, on your Home page and in an optional weekly email.
OrionGIS indexes more than 25,000 datasets, and thousands of them are open to everyone. Finding the few that matter for your work shouldn't take a search every time.
From today, OrionGIS learns from what you do: the data you download, the layers you put on maps, the datasets you save and look at, and the places and topics you follow. Picked for you on your Home page shows six open datasets that fit, each one click from a map.
If you'd like them by email, Datasets for you arrives at most once a week, and only when there are at least three datasets you haven't seen yet. Nothing new means no email. Following a place or topic makes the picks sharper.
You're in control: turn suggestions off under Email on your profile, or with the link in any suggestions email. Your other updates stay as they are.
