Find open data faster: search every page, scroll without clicking
Every page of OrionGIS's open data catalogue now has its own search, and lists of datasets keep loading as you scroll.
OrionGIS's open data catalogue is open to everyone, with no sign-in. It holds thousands of datasets by place and theme, from administrative boundaries and population to satellite imagery, roads and climate. Finding the one you need should take seconds.
Today we removed two small frictions that added up.
Search where you are. Every data page now starts with a search box for its own scope. On the Kenya page it searches Kenya's datasets; on the health theme it searches health data everywhere; on /data it searches the whole catalogue. Search matches by meaning as well as keywords, so "flood risk" finds hazard and hydrology datasets that never use those words.
Lists that keep going. Dataset lists no longer stop at a Next button. Keep scrolling and more datasets load in, on the public data pages, the county pages and in Data Explorer.
Try it at /data.
