Cloud GIS, AI-native GIS and geoportal on the home page

OrionGIS web 1.9.1Released 21 October 2026

What OrionGIS is now explained on the home page itself, and the separate guide pages redirect there.

Changes since 1.9.0.

#Improved

  • One home page for what OrionGIS is. The home page's headline, sections and FAQ now cover cloud GIS, AI-native GIS, open GIS and spatial data, geoportals and spatial data infrastructure (SDI), and making maps with AI. The four separate guide pages from 1.9.0 (/cloud-gis, /ai-gis, /geoportal, /ai-map-maker) redirect to the home page.
  • Straight into the data. The home page's data section links to the open GIS data catalogue and to the Kenya and Africa data pages.
  • Footer links that go where the work is. The Explore column now links the AI map maker to Map Studio, geoportals and SDI to Data Explorer, and spatial analysis to Spatial Analytics.
