One OrionAI, and it builds the map you have open

23 October 2026The OrionGIS team

Ask OrionAI in Map Studio and it shows its plan, builds the map step by step in front of you, and finishes with a result card you can undo or publish in one click.

There is now one OrionAI across OrionGIS. The panel you use to search data, manage projects and read dashboards is the same one that builds maps in Map Studio, and it works directly on the map you have open.

You see the plan first. Ask for "population density by county in Kenya" and OrionAI starts by showing its plan: find the counties, find the population data, compute the density, style it and zoom to Kenya.

You watch it work. Each step appears as a short line with a tick as it happens, and the map updates in front of you.

You get a clear result. OrionAI finishes with a result card: what the map shows, the data it used with publisher and licence, and a few next requests you can run with one click.

One click to undo, one click to publish. Undo puts the map back exactly as it was before the request. Publish takes you straight to Print Layout to share it.

As before, a request uses one credit, however many steps it takes.
