OrionAI now does the analysis, not just the map

OrionAI in Map Studio has a spatial toolbox. Ask for densities, distances, overlaps or joins, and it works them out on your data, in true metres and km², and maps the answer.

A good map answers a question, and most questions need some analysis first. How many clinics does each county have for its size? Which schools are within 5 km of a main road? How far is each village from the nearest health facility?

OrionAI in Map Studio can now work these out for you. Ask in plain words and it picks the right step from its new spatial toolbox, runs it on the data in your map and adds the answer as a new layer, styled so the map makes the point.

Sixteen kinds of analysis. Counts and densities per area, length and cover within zones, hexagon grids, joins by location or by name, buffers, clip, overlay, erase, merge, centroids, nearest distance, areas and lengths, calculated fields and filters.

Measured properly. Distances are true metres and areas true km² anywhere on Earth, so densities and buffers are right whether your map is of Kisumu or Kazakhstan.

Checks you can see. If some names did not match in a join, or some points fell outside every area, OrionAI says so rather than hiding it.

Results you keep. Every step adds a layer you can style, save or publish. A published layer records the step and the layers it came from.

As before, a request uses one credit, however many steps it takes.
