United States of America buildings and infrastructure data
+ Follow new data73 datasets about buildings and infrastructure in United States of America.
From: MS Buildings Microsoft recently released a free set of deep learning generated building footprints covering the United States of America. In support of this great work and to make these building footprints available to the ArcGIS community, Esri has consolidated the buildings into a single layer and shared them in ArcGIS Online. The footprints can be used for visualization using vector tile format or as hosted feature layer to do analysis. Learn more about the Microsoft Project at the Announcement Blog or the raw data is available at Github.

Full Metadata This EnviroAtlas web service supports research and online mapping activities related to EnviroAtlas (https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas). The layers in this web service depict ecosystem services at the census block group level for all EnviroAtlas communities. These layers illustrate the ecosystems and natural resources that are associated with clean air, clean and plentiful water, natural hazard mitigation, climate stabilization, recreation, culture, and aesthetics, and biodiversity conservation, and factors that place stress on those resources. EnviroAtlas allows the user to interact with a web-based, easy-to-use, mapping application to view and analyze multiple ecosystem services for the conterminous United States as well as detailed metrics for select communities. Additional descriptive information about each attribute in this web service can be found in its associated EnviroAtlas Fact Sheet (https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas/enviroatlas-fact-sheets).

This data was collected between April and December 2017 by Anderson Consulting Engineers.
The Fire Responsible Agency is the fire department (municipality, county, township, etc.) that serves as the primary emergency response agency for the given physical address. Additional agencies are often simultaneously dispatched to a given address in the event of an emergency. For example, within the city limits of Durham, North Carolina, the Durham Fire Department is the responsible agency. However, there are also areas outside of the city limits and/or located in Orange or Chatham County where Durham Fire Department is the responsible agency via inter-local contractual agreement. The data is maintained and regularly updated by the City of Durham Fire Department to ensure accuracy and reliability.

A fire protection class, also referred to as an ISO rating or a PPC rating, is determined for a fire department, based on that department’s performance in a series of evaluations conducted by the Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM). OSFM also evaluates a given area to determine an ISO rating or PPC rating it will attribute to that area based on that area’s proximity to a fire department/fire station and the available water supply in the geographical area. This layer visualizes the ISO/PPC rating for the fire department identified as the fire responsible agency for the given address. This rating may differ from OSFM’s rating for geographical area of the given address. The data is maintained and regularly updated by the City of Durham Fire Department to ensure accuracy and reliability.
This GIS layer represents the locations of fire stations in and around Durham County, North Carolina. Each point on the map represents a fire station, including its name and other relevant details. This layer is crucial for emergency response planning, resource allocation, and public safety management. It helps residents identify the nearest fire station, understand the areas they serve, and access fire services efficiently. The data is maintained and regularly updated by the City of Durham Fire Department to ensure accuracy and reliability.
The dataset contains locations and attributes of building construction and alteration permits applied for and approved by the District of Columbia Department of Buildings. These data are shared via an automated process where addresses are batch matched (geocoded) to the District's Master Address Repository. Users may find that some data points will contain 0,0 for X,Y coordinates resulting in inconsistent spatial locations. Addresses for these data points could not be automatically geocoded and will need to be manually geocoded to 'best fit' locations in DC.
This dataset is used to map the address location of Schools in Mecklenburg County. The locations are derived from a join between the Schools_pt layer and the MasterAddress_pt layer.
