Point locations of health facilities in Africa including hospitals, health centres, clinics, dispensaries and health posts. Each feature records the facility name, type and ownership. Use this layer to map healthcare coverage, identify service gaps, plan facility distribution, and support health sector analysis.
Point features representing health facilities across sub-Saharan Africa, with each row giving a facility's name, type, ownership, country and first-level administrative area. Published by Orion Terrametrics.
Spatial distribution of estimated births across Guinea at 1km resolution. Each grid cell shows the estimated number of live births. Use this layer for maternal health planning, antenatal care facility siting, health resource allocation, and reproductive health programme design.
Plasmodium falciparum parasite rate (PfPR, ages 2-10) modelled at ~5 km for 2020, subset to Africa. Malaria Atlas Project global PfPR coverage (Explorer__2020_Global_PfPR) clipped to lon -25..60, lat -40..40. CC-BY.
Point locations of health facilities in Malawi including hospitals, health centres, clinics, dispensaries and health posts. Each feature records the facility name, type and ownership. Use this layer to map healthcare coverage, identify service gaps, plan facility distribution, and support health sector analysis.
Spatial distribution of estimated pregnancies across Guinea at 1km resolution. Each grid cell shows the estimated number of pregnancies including live births, stillbirths and abortions. Use this layer for maternal health planning, antenatal care programme design, health facility placement, and reproductive health analysis.
EbolaGeonode was a partnership platform for sharing geospatial data, analysis and maps related to the Ebola emergency response. The platform was intended to minimize the time that GIS analysts spend locating up-to-date data. Users were able to make maps on the fly, view metadata, and access the reports behind GIS layers. Curators worked to ensure that the layers were recent, clean, useful, and legally and technically open.
This master list of health facilities was developed from a variety of government and non-government sources from 50 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. It uses multiple geocoding methods to provide a comprehensive spatial inventory of 98 745 public health facilities. Each data record represents a health facility and has 8 descriptive variables – Location identifiers including: country, first level administrative division, latitude, longitude and LL source (source of the coordinates). Coordinates are rounded off to four decimal places for uniformity, allowing an accuracy of 5–10 metres in decimal degrees coordinate format. This geocoded master facility list has been made publicly and freely available through both the figshare repository and through the World Health Organization’s Global Malaria Programme in Microsoft Excel format.
This dataset contains OpenStreetMap data exported from the HOTOSM disaster mapping response to the Ebola outbreak in Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda started in May 2026 - Glide number: EP-2026-000071-COD. In May 2026, an epidemic of Ebola disease was reported in the Ituri Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). On 15 May 2026, the Ministry of Public Health, Hygiene and Social Welfare, DRC, officially declared the 17th Ebola Disease outbreak in DRC. Imported cases from Ituri have been reported in the capital city of Kinshasa and its North Kivu Province, as well as in Uganda's capital city of Kampala. The data has been contributed by volunteers through the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team's Tasking Manager and represents **buildings, roads, residential areas and settlement points (i.e. place) in the affected area**. It is updated as mapping progresses. Subscribe to this dataset to be notified of any new updates. HOT worked closely with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to define priority areas and features. Tasking Manager Projects can be found here. See the HOTOSM activation page here for more details. As of 5th of August, over 1400 OSM contributors supported this activation.
This dataset contains shapefiles for Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone from the OpenStreetMap (OSM) project. Each country has its individual file. The dataset counts with contributions of hundreds of users. **This dataset is updated daily.** The original dataset can be downloaded from the OSM West Africa Ebola response wiki.
