✦ Suggested by OrionAIgridMET is a dataset of daily surface meteorological data at approximately four-kilometer resolution, covering the contiguous U.S. from 1979 to the present. These data can provide important inputs for ecological, agricultural, and hydrological models.
Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data (CHIRPS) is a quasi-global rainfall dataset spanning 50S to 50N from 1981 to near present. It blends 0.05 degree satellite imagery with in-situ station data to create gridded rainfall time series for trend analysis and seasonal drought monitoring.
Global, cloud-free, and reconstructed historical Landsat spectral bands are provided at a spatial resolution of 30 meters and temporal resolution of bimonthly intervals from 1997 onwards. The dataset was generated using the GLAD Landsat ARD version 2 as the primary input for temporal aggregation and the imputation of missing values.

This dataset provides daily historical Water Balance Model outputs from a Thornthwaite-type, single bucket model. Climate inputs to the model are from GridMet daily temperature and precipitation for the Continental United States (CONUS). The Water Balance Model output variables include the following: Potential Evapotranspiration (PET, mm), Actual Evapotranspiration (AET, mm), Moisture Deficit (Deficit, mm), Soil Water (soilwater, mm), Runoff (mm), Rain (mm), and Accumulated Snow Water Equivalent (accumswe, mm). The dataset covers the period from January 1 to December 31 for years 1980 through 2023 for the CONUS. Water Balance Model variables are provided as individual files, by variable and year, at a 1 km x 1 km spatial resolution and a daily temporal resolution. Data are in a North America Lambert Conformal Conic projection and are distributed in a standardized Climate and Forecast (CF)-compliant NetCDF file format.
Reference evapotranspiration per month with a spatial resolution of 0.1 degree. Unit: mm month-1. The dataset contains monthly values for global land areas, excluding Antarctica, since 1979. The dataset has been prepared according to the FAO Penman - Monteith method as described in FAO Irrigation and Drainage Paper 56. The input variables are part of the Agrometeorological indicators dataset produced by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) through the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). The Agrometeorological indicators dataset provides daily surface meteorological data for the period from 1979 to present as input for agriculture and agro-ecological studies. This dataset is based on the hourly ECMWF ERA5 data at surface level and is referred to as AgERA5. ECMWF operates the Copernicus Climate Change Service on behalf of the European Union and will bring together expertise from across Europe to deliver the service. **Data publication:** 2021-10-30 **Contact points:** Metadata Contact: [AQUASTAT](mailto:aquastat@fao.org) Resource Contact: [AQUASTAT](mailto:aquastat@fao.org) **Data lineage:** Copernicus Agrometeorological data were aggregated to daily time steps at the local time zone and corrected towards a finer topography at a 0.1° spatial resolution. The correction to the 0.1° grid was realized by applying grid and variable-specific regression equations to the ERA5 dataset interpolated at 0.1° grid. The equations were trained on ECMWF's operational high-resolution atmospheric model (HRES) at a 0.1° resolution. This way the data is tuned to the finer topography, finer land use pattern and finer land-sea delineation of the ECMWF HRES model. **Resource constraints:** License: Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International • The dataset contains modified Copernicus Climate Change Service information [1979-to date]; Neither the European Commission nor ECMWF is responsible for any use that may be made of the Copernicus information or data it contains.
