India: High Resolution Population Density Maps

Population from census data has been disaggregated to locations that have buildings in the Overture building footprint dataset or were identified as having buildings in version 1.5 of the HRSL. The population was weighted by the log plus one (log(x + 1)) of building counts from the overture building data. Seven maps/datasets for the distribution of various populations: (1) Overall population density (total) (2) Women (3) Men (4) Children (ages 0-5) (5) Youth (ages 15-24) (6) Elderly (ages 60+) (7) Women of reproductive age (ages 15-49) The GeoTIFF files contain estimates in persons per pixel (floating point numbers are used to minimize rounding errors). The CSV files contain the same estimates along with columns containing latitude and longitude. Only areas with population are included in the CSV files (locations with a value of 0 are areas that were not enumerated in a census that have buildings).
