CFW Development Permits Table

Permits are how the City regulates construction. There are several different types of permits, depending on the type of construction. This table includes all permits issued through the Development Services permit center: building, mechanical plumbing, garage sales and others. Data is updated hourly during business hours. This dataset contains the legal descriptions of tracts and platted lots within the City of Fort Worth. Geometry and some attribute information are derived from Development Services GIS team. The layer provides a view of property boundaries and information to support planning, permitting, and development review activities. Data is updated on a regular basis to reflect new plats and lot modifications.

These are records of violation cases from the Code Compliance Department. Data is inclusive of actual cases and does not include complaints. Updated weekly.

The dataset contains locations and attributes of building construction and alteration permits applied for and approved by the District of Columbia Department of Buildings. These data are shared via an automated process where addresses are batch matched (geocoded) to the District's Master Address Repository. Users may find that some data points will contain 0,0 for X,Y coordinates resulting in inconsistent spatial locations. Addresses for these data points could not be automatically geocoded and will need to be manually geocoded to 'best fit' locations in DC.

The Zoning layer identifies the zoning classification for all parcels within the City of Fort Worth. It includes general zoning districts (e.g., A-5, CF, MU-2), overlays (e.g., Historic, NS, DD), and Planned Developments (PDs), which may include special conditions. This layer supports staff, developers, and the public in determining land use permissions, building standards, and applicable development regulations. It is maintained by Development Services, GIS Division, and updated regularly following City Council zoning case approvals. The zoning layer is created and maintained using ordinances adopted by City Council. Updates occur after zoning cases are approved and legal descriptions are validated. Changes are mapped into GIS and reviewed for accuracy.

This layer contains subdivision boundaries within the City of Fort Worth as well as in adjacent municipalities. The layer is used to provide spatial context for properties in adjacent cities and surrounding areas. Attribute and geometry information are compiled from available external sources to support planning coordination, development review, and regional analysis.
