Quarry Leases / Baux d'exploitation de carrières

This dataset shows the boundaries for peat leases and peat exploration licences on Crown lands in New Brunswick. A peat exploration licence grants the holder the exclusive right to conduct field tests to determine whether the quality and volume of peat in a specified area are suitable for the intended use. A peat lease allows the holder to extract or remove peat from Crown lands.   Cet ensemble de données représente les limites des baux d’exploitation de tourbière et des licences d’exploration de tourbière situés sur les terres de la Couronne au Nouveau-Brunswick.Une licence d’exploration de tourbière accorde à son titulaire le droit exclusif d’effectuer des essais sur le terrain afin de déterminer si la qualité et le volume de la tourbe dans la zone visée conviennent à l’utilisation prévue. Un bail d’exploitation de tourbière autorise son titulaire à prendre ou à enlever de la tourbe des terres de la Couronne.

This dataset represents the locations of licenced and permitted pits and quarries regulated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) under the Aggregate Resources Act, R.S.O. 1990. Aggregate site data has been divided into active and inactive sites. Active sites may be further subdivided into partial surrenders. In partial surrenders, defined areas of a site are inactive while the rest of the site remains active. The data includes: site location and size licensee name approval type (licence or permit) operation type (pit or quarry) maximum annual tonnage limit the MNRF district responsible for the site Use our interactive Pits and Quarries map to find active sites. This data does not include aggregate sites regulated by the Ministry of Transportation. This feature class contains the watercourse line geometry for the New Brunswick Hydrographic Network. It contains observed streams as well as inferred centrelines representing an approximate centreline path through waterbodies and around islands within the waterbodies. The data has been collected for the entire province from a period from 2003 to present and is being continuously updated. Ces données sont recueillies pour l’ensemble de la province depuis 2003 et sont mises à jour de façon continue.
