No more "should we keep emailing you?" emails

The win-back series no longer ends with an email asking people whether they want more email. A week after the third win-back email, people move on to OrionGIS Data Weekly, with new datasets and things to try.

Changes since 1.33.2.

  • The win-back "Should we keep sending you updates?" email is gone. Older accounts that never got started still get three short win-back emails a week apart. A week after the third one, they now move on to OrionGIS Data Weekly (new datasets, a theme of the week, imagery to map, datasets picked for them), instead of an email asking whether they want more email.
  • Nobody's emails are switched off for not answering that email. Previously, people who didn't click "Yes, keep me posted" within a week had product emails turned off. That rule is removed, including for the people who received the email on 4 November. Anyone can still unsubscribe in one click from any email.
  • Orion Central → Email no longer lists the sunset step.
