First-party analytics in Orion Central
OrionGIS web 1.50.0Released 7 November 2026
Orion Central gains an Analytics page: every page view and tracked event on the platform, in Orion's own database — with per-user drill-down, referrers, devices and copy tracking.
Changes since 1.49.0.
#New
- Orion Central → Analytics. A first-party telemetry layer now records every page view and tracked event in Orion's own database, for every visitor — signed in or not. The new Analytics page shows page-view totals and trends, top pages, external referrers, the desktop/mobile/tablet split, and the event feed, switchable between 7 days, 30 days and all time.
- Per-user drill-down. Type any username to see every page that account visited and every event it triggered, in order — the same view that answers "what has this user actually been doing".
- Content-copy tracking. Copying a share link, form link, app-user invite, web-service URL, MCP key or GeoLibre token now records a
content_copiedevent (what was copied, never the copied text itself). - Searches and filters for everyone. Catalogue searches and Explorer filter changes are now recorded for every visitor in our own database, where previously they only reached GA4 for consenting visitors.
#Notes
- Page-view paths never include query strings, and no IPs, user agents, emails or clipboard contents are stored.
- First-party telemetry is not consent-gated (it is Orion's own log, like a server access log); GA4 behaviour is unchanged.
