Official statistics need a place on the map
Statistics readers connect official tables to boundaries while preserving original sources and datasets.
A population table can name counties without containing geometry. OrionGIS can match supported official statistics tables to administrative boundaries or explicit longitude and latitude before publication.
Crosswalks include Kenya county codes and former provinces and Ghana's former ten regions. Old statistics need the areas they describe, rather than smaller modern units with the same names. Unknown or ambiguous areas wait for a reliable match.
PX-Web v1, PxStat, SDMX and OpenDataSoft readers extend the work beyond Open SDG. The worldwide inventory supplies candidate sources for a country-by-country rollout. It is an inventory of evidence and work, not a claim that every country's data is already published.
Maps expose a selected breakdown and yearly values. Spatial exports include every matched source row; the original publisher table retains unmatched rows and other detail. Better copies may be added alongside existing datasets, preserving the original pages and downloads.
