OrionAI remembers your chats, hears you, and hands you the table

3 November 2026The OrionGIS team

Conversations with OrionAI are now saved and resumable, you can speak your questions and listen to the answers, attach files, and data questions come back with their attribute table as part of the result.

Ask OrionAI a question, close the panel, and it was gone. That changed today.

Every conversation is now saved, and the panel has a proper home for them: the clock button in the header lists your chats, one click resumes a conversation from exactly where it was — plan cards, steps, colour keys and all — and New starts fresh.

The panel itself got the upgrade it was due:

  • Speak your question. The microphone listens and sends when you stop. Browsers with voice input supported.
  • Hear the answer. Press Listen under any answer.
  • Attach a file. CSV, text, JSON, GeoJSON or Markdown (up to 300 KB) rides along with your question — useful for asking about a table you have at hand.
  • The table is the result. Ask for the numbers — "how many schools per county?", "list the largest lakes by area" — and the result card carries the answer's attribute table: the columns, the first rows, and the total. You no longer have to go and open the layer to read what OrionAI computed. Saved chats keep their tables too.

And the whole panel was restyled: a real OrionAI identity in the header, navy question bubbles, an avatar beside answers, a round send button, and a composer with attach, microphone and stop.
