OrionForms and OrionInsights now look like the rest of OrionGIS

4 November 2026The OrionGIS team

The two data-collection surfaces got the platform's product design — including asking OrionAI for a form straight from the page header — and a stack of mobile and accessibility fixes.

The two places where field data enters OrionGIS — OrionForms, where forms are drafted and submissions come in, and OrionInsights, where those submissions become dashboards — have been redesigned to match the rest of the platform.

Start a form with a sentence. The OrionForms page now opens with an ask box in its header: "Describe your form — OrionAI drafts the questions." Type what you need to record — say, a monthly facility inspection with a name, staff on duty, a condition checklist and a GPS point — and the AI form builder opens with your description ready. Review the questions, adjust them, and publish. It is the same builder every New Form button opens, so there is one path to a form, not two.

Dashboards that show what they are. OrionInsights cards now draw their thumbnail from the dashboard's real layout: six stat tiles look like six stat tiles, a time-series dashboard looks like charts. What you see on the card is what you will see when you open it.

Everything in one visual language. The navy hero with live stats, the segmented Active/Archived tabs, titled section cards on the form detail page, brand artwork on form rows, richer empty states — Forms and Insights now read as one product, and the widget styling inside dashboards follows the same standard as before.

Under the hood there are fixes too: the forms list no longer overflows on narrow phones, and the New Form dialog now behaves like a proper modal — announced to screen readers and closed with Escape.
