OrionForms and OrionInsights redesign
OrionGIS web 1.33.0Released 4 November 2026
OrionForms and OrionInsights get the OrionGIS product design: a navy hero with an AI ask box on Forms, real-layout dashboard previews, segmented tabs, and composed section cards — plus mobile and dialog fixes.
Read the announcement: OrionForms and OrionInsights now look like the rest of OrionGIS
Changes since 1.32.2.
#New
- Ask OrionAI straight from the OrionForms hero. A "Describe your form — OrionAI drafts the questions" box sits in the page header; submitting it opens the AI form builder with the prompt already filled in. It is the same builder the New Form buttons use, so there is one generation path, not two.
- Real dashboard previews. Each OrionInsights card now draws its thumbnail from the dashboard's actual layout — a dashboard of six stat tiles looks like six stat tiles, a chart dashboard looks like charts — instead of one shared placeholder.
- Sectioned form pages. The form detail page opens with a navy header band carrying the form's live stats (submissions, share links, app users, questions) and the CSV/GeoJSON exports, and its parts — accepting submissions, submissions, share links, app users, questions — are now titled section cards.
- Richer empty states on both pages: an icon tile, a clear heading and the next step, instead of a bare sentence.
- Shared segmented tabs (Active / Archived) and section cards used across Forms and Insights.
#Improved
- The OrionInsights page groups dashboards under icons (Your dashboards, Health, Education, Platform, Personal) and both pages use the navy stat hero with an AI-native eyebrow tag.
- Form rows carry a small brand artwork instead of a grey placeholder, and the search/selection toolbar is restyled into one composed control.
- Dashboard widget frames get a hairline divider and padded content; indicator numbers and labels are slightly larger, and the indicator-stack caption and pager are pill-styled — all within the existing dashboard visual standard.
- The New Form dialog is a proper modal now: it announces itself to screen readers and closes on Escape.
#Fixed
- The forms list no longer overflows horizontally on narrow phones (the collection wrapper could not shrink below its widest row).
