Overview This service provides elevation data from an 2018 to 2019 LiDAR project as a tiled mosaic dataset with one 32 bit floating point band at 1 meter cell size. It covers an area in British Columbia and is delivered with LERC compression for efficient access in 3D workflows. The service supports surface elevation use in 3D applications and provides access to raster catalog content through Image, Catalog, Mensuration, and Metadata capabilities. Band Characteristics The raster contains one band named Band 1. Number of bands: 1 Pixel type: 32 bit floating point Band values: minimum 340.84, mean 1142.65, maximum 2172.12, standard deviation 446.64 Raster Properties Pixel size: 1 by 1 meter Dataset format: AMD Default resampling: Bilinear Compression: None Tile cache: Pre cached elevation cache with 256 by 256 tiles in LERC format Levels of detail: 19 levels from scale 591657527.59 to 2256.99 Histogram range: 340.84 to 2172.12 The service allows raster functions for surface visualization and terrain analysis, including hillshade from multiple azimuths, shaded relief, contour generation at 2 meter, 20 meter, and 100 meter intervals, slope, and classification templates. Mosaic Properties This service is a mosaic dataset that combines elevation source tiles on the fly. Users can query the catalog, view item metadata, and work with mosaic methods such as NorthWest, Center, LockRaster, ByAttribute, Nadir, Viewpoint, Seamline, and None. The catalog can return up to 1000 records per query, with support for statistics, ordering, pagination, and distinct queries. Available item fields include image name, category, product name, grouping fields, center position, z order, and footprint attributes. The category domain includes values such as Primary, Overview, Unprocessed Overview, Partial Overview, Inactive, Uploaded, Incomplete, and Custom. Geographic Coverage The service covers Regional District of Central Okanagan in British Columbia and uses the Web Mercator spatial reference. Extent:X min: -120.1042 Y min: 49.6333 X max: -118.7617 Y max: 50.2819 Spatial reference: Web Mercator (102100) Use Cases The service supports elevation visualization, terrain measurement, surface analysis, and 3D scene integration. It allows analysis, and it is suited to users who need detailed LiDAR-derived elevation source data from the OBWB and GeoBC.
COS Benchbook for public access. The point information contained was mapped by the City of Springfield through differential leveling methods. This elevation data was collected at various times in the past several decades, and was recently verified for accuracy in the Summer of 2010. To verify accuracy, the existing differential leveled data was shot with GPS and benchmarks found to be errant were re-leveled by differential methods. These data are intended for use in engineering and citywide planning. There are no warranties that accompany this product.
Overview This service presents a styled hillshade surface for the Regional District of Central Okanagan area. It visualizes shaded relief derived from a digital elevation model using blue and purple symbology, supporting map display and feature queries. Layers Hillshade - bidirectional - multicolor (blue/purple): a grouped hillshade display built from two raster views of the same elevation surface. Hillshade_DEM_RDCO - 360 - #660066: a shaded relief surface rendered in purple tones. Hillshade_DEM_RDCO - 270 - #0059B2: a shaded relief surface rendered in blue tones. Characteristics The service depicts terrain illumination and elevation form as a continuous surface, with each pixel representing hillshade intensity from the underlying elevation model. The layered styling supports visual interpretation of slopes, ridges, valleys, and landform texture. Image interpretation: This service contains shaded relief imagery that represents terrain intensity values across the covered area. It is well suited to cartographic display, terrain visualization, and comparison of relief patterns. Temporal summary: The service is static and presents a single terrain representation with no time-based changes. Geographic Coverage The map coverage spans the Regional District of Central Okanagan area in Web Mercator spatial reference. Use Cases This service supports terrain-rich basemaps, landscape visualization, and contextual mapping for planning, environmental review, and cartographic production.
Fire Retardant Detection This is an EXPERIMENTAL, UNVALIDATED data product under active development. It is provided as-is. No guarantee is made as to the accuracy or completeness of the detections. Retardant may be missed entirely, and spectrally similar surfaces may produce elevated scores. Product: retardant detection score, unitless. Higher values indicate greater likelihood of retardant presence. Values are relative, not physical units. Files are mosaics, with all acquisition chunks covering a given flightbox combined into a single mosaicked GeoTiff. Orthorectified with a 30 m DEM. Geolocation error is larger over rugged terrain due to the coarse DEM. Resolution varies from scene to scene. Files are provided as 32-bit floating point values, as Cloud Optimized GeoTiffs, in WGS 84 / Pseudo-Mercator projection. Caveats and Limitations: These results are intended to support rapid emergency response. All information is provisional for use under emergency response guidelines. These data are provided with absolutely no warranty of any kind. Use at your own risk. These are PRELIMINARY data products generated for rapid response.
