✦ Suggested by OrionAIThis dataset represents the locations of licenced and permitted pits and quarries regulated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) under the Aggregate Resources Act, R.S.O. 1990. Aggregate site data has been divided into active and inactive sites. Active sites may be further subdivided into partial surrenders. In partial surrenders, defined areas of a site are inactive while the rest of the site remains active. The data includes: site location and size licensee name approval type (licence or permit) operation type (pit or quarry) maximum annual tonnage limit the MNRF district responsible for the site Use our interactive Pits and Quarries map to find active sites. This data does not include aggregate sites regulated by the Ministry of Transportation. “Mining concession” refers to an area allocated by a government or other body for the extraction of minerals. The terminology for these areas varies from country to country. “Concession” is used as a general term for licenses, permits, or other contracts that confer rights to private companies to manage and extract minerals from public lands; terminology varies at the national level, however, and includes mineral or mining "permits," "tenures," "licenses," and other terms. This data set displays mining concessions as a single layer assembled by aggregating concession data for multiple countries. The data may come from government agencies, NGOs, or other organizations and vary by date and source. Only active or available concessions are included in this layer. Inactive or expired concessions are excluded as defined by the dataset source. As available, additional data source information is linked below: - Brazil - Cameroon - Cambodia - Colombia - Democratic Republic of the Congo - Malaysia - Peru - Suriname - [Zambia](www.znsdi.net) If you are aware of concession data for additional countries, please email us [here](mailto:gnw@wri.org). This dataset contains polygon features representing Crown Quarry Lease boundaries administered by the Department of Natural Resources. The dataset provides information on the location and extent of Crown Quarry Leases on Crown land and supports public understanding of Crown land tenure and resource management.

Mapping depicts Brampton Plan High Potential Mineral Aggregate Resource Area (HPMARA) in Schedule 9 identifies primary and secondary sand and gravel resources, as well as bedrock resources that are not constrained by Provincial, Region of Peel or City of Brampton policies and are to be protected for long-term use. Further constraints to extraction within and outside of HPMARA are subject to the Region of Peel Official Plan, Secondary Plan Area 52 – Heritage Heights (upon approval), and Corridor Protection Policies of this Plan and Greenbelt Plan. This data is intended to be used in conjuction with other related mapping layers for this schedule, and may be impacted by other schedules, with consideration to the text of Brampton Plan.
The data set contains areas with oil and gas deposits to which permits under Section 5(1) of the Underground Resources Exploitation Act have been extended for the purpose of abstraction. The dataset is updated ad hoc and exists as a shape file with polygons. The boundaries of contractually defined geographical coordinates based on ED 50. The dataset is projected in UTM zone 32N based on ED 50. Further information on the oil and gas deposits can be found in the Danish Energy Agency's annual reports on "Denmark's oil and gas production and other uses of the subsoil".
