Changes since 1.26.5.
#New
- A new headline. "Ask a question. Get a map." The last word types itself in turn (a map, a dataset, a form, an insight), followed by "Ready to use."
- OrionAI across the platform, in the hero. The top of the homepage is a carousel of real OrionAI outputs from around the world: maps (Lake Naivasha land cover from Sentinel-2, crop vigour in California's Central Valley, slope around Mount Fuji, surface water on Tonle Sap, average elevation by Swiss canton, health facilities across Peru, a cloud-free image of the Port of Rotterdam), field forms OrionAI drafted from one sentence (water points in the Peruvian Andes, street trees in Melbourne, flood damage in Sylhet) and a dashboard question answered on sample clinic data. Each replays the request, what OrionAI found, each step and the result, and the order changes on every visit. Swipe, drag or use the arrow keys to move between them.
- The Global Data Index, shown as world coverage. The live dataset, publisher and country counts above 16 theme-and-place tiles spread across every continent (for example Agriculture · Kenya, Drone and aerial imagery · Brazil, Boundaries · United States, Society · Italy, Oceans · Global). Each tile shows its live record count and opens that collection's page.
- Maps made with OrionAI. Eight real OrionAI maps at a time, drawn at random from 13 across five continents (among them a false-colour image of the Po Valley, relief around Zermatt, contours of Mount Taranaki, streams around Cusco and a viewshed from Mount Longonot), each with its request, the data used and its colour key. One map changes every few seconds; the data tiles rotate the same way.
- One connected workflow. Discover, collect, map and analyse, understand, communicate and operate, each with a real screenshot of the part of OrionGIS that does it.
- Orion Connect for QGIS. A free, open-source QGIS plugin (version 0.2.0, QGIS 3.22 or newer and QGIS 4) to search OrionGIS datasets, add them as live WMS and WFS layers and upload your layers to your workspace. Download it or add the OrionGIS plugin repository from its new page, Orion Connect, with an install guide.
- Orion Collect for Android, early access. The Android app for OrionForms is available to download as an early-access test build from its new page, Orion Collect, with an install and sign-in guide.
- Enterprise, geoportal and SDI. How OrionGIS runs as your organisation's geospatial infrastructure: users, published surfaces, the governed core and where it runs.
#Improved
- Pricing in your currency. Prices show in US dollars first. Visitors in Kenya see Kenyan shillings and M-Pesa first, and anyone can switch between USD and KES. Prices are unchanged.
- Navigation. The header now has OrionAI, Platform (all eight product pages and the Orion Collect and Orion Connect apps), Solutions (sectors), Data (the Global Data Index by region), Enterprise, Pricing and Resources menus, and the phone menu and footer follow the same structure. Old links to the "Why OrionGIS" section still land on the platform section.
- Product and sector pages. Product pages now show use cases from around the world, with real OrionAI outputs as their pictures, and every sector page shows a real OrionAI map made for that kind of work.
- FAQ. The questions now sit at the bottom of the page, just above the footer, in the same layout as the rest of the site. One answer opens at a time, the first five show straight away and the rest are one click away.
- Current screenshots. Product pages and the user guide now show the product as it is today.
- Enterprise plan description. It now reads "for enterprises, public agencies, governments and large programmes".
