Plans and billing
OrionGIS plans and their limits, paying by M-Pesa or card, renewals, the free trial, nonprofit discounts and Enterprise.
#Plans at a glance
Every plan includes maps, Map Studio, the data catalogue and private uploads. Plans differ by how much you can use. Limits belong to the account, so everyone on a Team or Organisation shares one pool.

Asking OrionAI how to do something in OrionGIS never uses credits. Other OrionAI actions (Answers, the Map Studio assistant, dashboard questions, drafting forms) use one credit each.
#Your free trial
A new account gets 14 days of Team limits to try everything. After that it moves to Free unless you choose a plan. Nothing you made is deleted.
#See your plan and usage
Choose Plan & billing in the sidebar. The page shows your current plan, when it renews, how much of each limit you have used this month, and your payments.
#Upgrade or change plan
- Open Plan & billing.
- Pick Monthly or Annual.
- Choose the plan. You are taken to Paystack's secure page.
- Pay by M-Pesa or card. You come back to OrionGIS and the new plan applies straight away.
Only the account owner can change the plan. A new plan starts on the day you pay.
#Renewals
- Card: the plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year. You can turn auto-renew off on the Billing page; the plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- M-Pesa: M-Pesa payments can't be charged again automatically. Pay again from the Billing page before the period ends.
If a renewal is missed, you keep your plan for 3 more days, then the account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted, and you can pay again at any time to get your limits back.
#Going over a limit
For now limits are shown but not enforced: if you go over, the action still works and we can see it. We will tell you well before that changes. Field submissions are never blocked, whatever your plan.
#Nonprofits
Registered nonprofits get 20% off every paid plan. Ask through Contact Admin with your registration details. Once we confirm, the discount shows on the Billing page.
#Enterprise
For governments, counties, ministries, utilities and large programmes: unlimited seats, agreed volumes, SAML single sign-on, dedicated or on-premise deployment, an SLA and training. It is invoiced. Talk to us.
