Print layouts
Compose a print-ready map with a title, legend, scale bar and north arrow in Map Studio's Print Layout, export it as PNG, PDF or SVG, and publish it.
The Print Layout turns your working map into a finished page: a framed map with a title and the furniture readers expect.
#Open the layout
In Map Studio choose Print Layout. Set the map's title and description here, and check the composition before you publish.
#What you can set
The Print Layout lets you compose a print-ready page with:
- a title and subtitle;
- a legend built from your layers;
- a scale bar and a north arrow;
- the page orientation, portrait or landscape, and the paper size.
Pan and zoom the map inside the page until the composition is right. The page is marked Created with OrionGIS.
#Export
From the layout you can export the page as PNG, PDF or SVG. What you see on the page is what you get in the export.
#Publishing from the layout
The Print Layout is also where you publish: the layout you compose is the picture people see first, on the Layout tab of the share page. Viewers can save it with Download map (PNG). See Publish and share a map.
