Inside a project

Every project has the same six tabs across the top.

#Overview

A summary of the project: its cover and description, counts of its maps, data and forms, a Next steps checklist that guides you through the first things to do (it disappears once they are done), and your Recent maps. The Open Map Studio button takes you into the map editor for this project.

#Maps

All of the project's maps, in a fixed order: Create map first, then Published maps, then Drafts. Each map is shown as a card with a thumbnail of the map itself. A published map that you have since edited stays in Published and is marked changes pending until you publish again. Use Create map to start from scratch or from data, and Map a form to make a map straight from a form's submissions. See Map Studio basics.

#Forms

The forms linked to this project — surveys whose submissions belong to it. From here you can link an existing form, create a new one, and open a form's submissions. Map submissions turns a form's answers into a map layer. See Link forms to a project.

#Data

Everything the project's maps draw from: catalogue datasets, your uploads, and a data layer for every linked form. Forms appear here automatically, already populated with their submissions and previewed on a small map. See Data in a project.

#Dashboards

Dashboards attached to this project. See Dashboards overview.

#Settings

Rename the project, edit its description and cover image, archive or restore it, and delete it. See Create a project.
